I think you are overthinking this. your battery voltage is slightly lower when the starter is turning. It's prob 12.5v engine off. 12v when starting. 14v when running. Once the engine runs on it's own and the alternator is charging, the voltage goes up. leave it on auto and remember that every single car in the world does this.

@ratcityrain this plus its possible your battery is old and is holding less of a charge. That can also give you a dim start.

I just think hes excited he got his lights after all the issues with UPS so he notices every detail lol. Even though its normal

ha ha. leaving the switch in auto all the time is new because i didn't want to do that with hid's. Sounds good, switch is staying in auto from now on :)

I know this is off topic but I spent so much time on this forum because of this group buy I thought I'd share some exciting news I just received.....

Most of you know that I lost my son over a year ago and my wife and I recently decided to try again and have another child.

:bananadance:WELL WE JUST FOUND OUT THAT SHES PREGNANT!!!! :bananadance:

We were hesitant when we made the decision to have another child but turns out we are both extremely excited and ready for this.

A little bit of positive vibes to this thread

I placed my order early July, so it appears that I won't get the headlights any time soon. Can you refund my order please?

Okay this a picture of the headlight from the driver side. Can't see screw 1 in the picture but it's there. Screw 1 is for horizontal adjustment. Screw 2 is vertical. Screw 3 does nothing for me on both headlights. I'm guessing its vertical adjustment for the high beam. My high beam on the drivers side is almost leveled with my low beam while the high beam on the passenger is way up.

Not sure if I broke screw 3 on both headlights or not. The screws still turn with the same resistance and are not loose
    -What is screw 3?
-Are there any more screws that I missed for aiming the headlights?
-Do the horizontal adjustment screw 1 move both low and high beam or just low?

For $1250 and no huge upgrade over halogens you should expect the basics like being plug and play for your money.

Picture wasn't in the instructions although it should be. Did you get low beams aimed? You just need the one high beam aimed Now?
