He’s hurt pretty bad. Apparent hip injury. Carted off the field

I can’t believe they put him back in 35-7. I wish Tua the best, good guy and family.

They are chasing style points and possibly a heisman. Only excuse for it. Idiots.

I just watched the replay and it didn’t look that bad. Maybe the angle he fell.

No. It was obvious before the game.

gametime decision against a 4-5 team after your qb bus already hurt. You’re up 35-7 and you still have Tua in for “practice”? Bullshit. Hindsight isn’t 20/20. Saban being an idiot is 20/20

Saban knows better. Not really sure why he is allowing players to dictate whether they are in the game or not. Very atypical.

Meh. Every coach does this. He wasn’t hurt enough to throw for a few hundred yards and look fine, and he has a hip injury, which is new. Shit happens.

Besides, Bama is 5th. They need all the style points they can get. I don’t think they’d leapfrog a 1-loss LSU if you guys do lose in the SECCG.

I agree they wouldn’t. But they don’t have to win with Tua style points. Mac jones can do it just fine in this game and the next. You needed Tua for auburn.

Maybe, maybe not. Gonna find out if he can now. I don’t have an issue with it, it’s just a super hot take once he gets hurt.

Very similar to Mahomes getting hurt on a sneak, which is a low risk - high percentage play. Easy to blast after the fact, but only after an incredible dose of shit luck.

That said, he needs to pull any other guys he can’t lose. Not worth it now. Gonna be looking like the Steelers offense soon.

    It was fucking dumb.

    Up 35-7

Pull him and let Mac Jones take over.

Put Tua back in if you need him.

Hip injury? Squashed like that. This could be career ending. Not season.

    Tua needed to be resting.

    -He isnt winning the Heisman.
-Alabama doesnt need Tua points...they need dominance points.
-Alabama doesnt control their destiny, but they can control injured players and their exposure to risk.

Tua was obviously hurt after the LSU game. Very surprised they didn’t pull him and the other starters for an added bye week...most teams would pay for rest this time of year. This isn’t Monday morning QBing or the like. Just common sense.

To be fair, most of Alabama’s schedule up to the LSU game were nearly byes as well.

But Tua wasn’t hurt going into those. Yes the hip injury is unrelated but it still made no sense to play him.
