    I totally agree.

Keto does not have the longitudinal research behind it like low fat diets or the mediterranean diet. So it is hard to say at this point whether it is the best diet long term.

Research is hinting keto is probably best done with IF. Without the IF it may not be the healthiest diet. But again not much research to determine that as of yet.

What is frustrating is that much if the keto research (especially in terms of athletic performance) is not done on athletes who are fat adapted. Its done on people who have only been on the diet 4-6 weeks. Well of course there is a performance impact on someone whos new to carb restriction. They’ve had no time to adapt.

What diet is best totally depends on the person, their lifestyle, their exercise, and any health conditions they may have etc. Nothing is a one size fits all.

What we do know is important is a balanced diet in terms of macros, fiber intake, and a variety of whole foods to meet micronutrient needs.
Its pretty clear that processed foods are unhealthy and need to be limited.

There is no one way. Find out what works for you.

I will say this though, you have to try something before you can say it doesn’t work for you.

Without carbs I’m pretty sure I’d die within a week.

@YoitsReed pay no attention to Welder. His diet and workout plans have probably already changed 2 or 3 times since he posted.

Lol not a hater man at all. In better shape than me for sure. Was just saying cause it’s funny when someone comes in here like “this is what happens when you eat big and lift big” in a better than thou manner but isn’t the best in here is all. Like I would never tell Supra or thunder or others “you could look like me if you lifted like this..”

But people think everyone’s a hater now a days.

I blocked that one dude just cause he got annoying. Not cause he called me fat lol. I call myself fat daily.

I’m beyond excited to finally get a coach/trainer to get my diet and workouts in order. Just kinda floating by until the move is done which is 10 days from now. Goal is to get to 170lbs by next summer. Got along ways to go but life has taken over as stress, last day at work, job hunting and 2 days of driving and moving is a lot to be on your mind while trying to get a workout in lol. Will always say y’all have helped a ton and educated the fuck out of me.
