Got banned for posting a picture of a no-longer political figure in a non-political context. Picture had no words at all. Literally a guy in front of a tv image feedback loop. @jberry813 are people really that sensitive around here? o_O

It's been 1 year since I've had the Taco. I still find myself occasionally trying to depress the imaginary clutch on the 4Runner.

I didn't know so many people were clueless about how 4wd works before I started joining truck forums. Then again, these days, changing a tire is out of many people's ability.

Easy now, might get someone all fired up, every one can change a tire these days. Right there is an app for that, right?

They don't have departure angles. They have departure inches.

I've ALWAYS had a manual, until almost 7 years ago.... I STILL occasionally reach for the stick, and when BSing with someone(somewhat distracted), or a "panic" maneuver, I still go for the clutch...

I will blame part of this on Toyota Sales...
They tried to tell me, I in 4wd, it was "auto" kinda like Chevy's system.. better than AWD...

I asked if he was sure...
    Yep, 4Runners too....

Are you kidding, most people can't even keep it between the yellow and white, it'd be terrifying to watch most people even attempt to change their oil or a light bulb, let alone a tire.
Sadly, they're actually making a lot of vehicles without spares now!

I will say this, in all the vehicles i’ve owned, i’ve never put the spare on. I’ve pulled out the plug kit and used the 12v compressor to refill a tire but never the spare (guess i’d say i’m Fortunate but wouldn’t want a vehicle without one)

    Actually, it is not.
Main reason is space, and weight savings, better mpgs, and more cubic feet of passenger/cargo space.
The fact that is saves on costs, is a bonus..
As was mentioned, most never even use them. Could also argue it saves resources.....

    Damnit.....

    PM coming....

    On another note....
Trying to find a manual DC TRD OR is proving to be a fking pain.....

All I keep hearing is, we can order one(from another dealer), but, you have go commit to buy.......

Want to do a decent test drive... overnight....

On another note, I caved and bought the OVTune stuff(dragging my enclosed trailer through the hills today convinced me)... maybe that will help this thing feel like it should.... I know Tiff will be happy to still be able to drive it....

Eh... maybe I should just get a flogging car... 350z, etc to satisfy me urge to shift my own gears...
