They also hunt whales for the blubber, the oil you make out of whale blubber gets used in a lot of stuff over there.

I'm no hypocrite, I love eating tasty animals as much as the next guy, but what I can't get behind is inhumane treatment of the ones we kill for food. We're at the top of the food chain and life feeds on life, but we also have the technology, capacity and ability to see to it that we aren't barbaric about it. Those videos online like the dogs being tortured and killed in Korea for food are the kind of thing I straight up won't watch, can't do it. That stuff is beyond fucked up

NC is like the largest producer of pork in the country. We had to watch the Smithfield processing plant video in High School. Wont say much about it on here, other than it really reminded me of the trash compactor scene in Star Wars. You know, with the walls caving in?

I guess if you have to kill animals on an industrial scale, walls caving in would be the cleanest way that I can think of to do the job.

But to film it and slap it on youtube for kids to watch in school? Thats a bit messed up imo.

The popularity of automatic transmission fluid and the whale oil additive almost drove one species into extension.

A lot of GM transmissions bit the dust after whale oil was removed from the formula.

Fire? I mean I wear pretty much all fire rated crap at work because I harness the power of electrical fires to join metal and sometimes I tame chemical fires into doing my bidding.

Pretty sure Duluth trading has a lot of it. But I weld for work and never really bothered to buy specific FR clothes. 100% cotton is about the only thing I look for. It just smolders a bit, will not ignite. My welding coat is just a miller cotton jacket. Tons of holes in it, but it doesnt catch on fire.

It was an entire episode haha. Fry finds an old VW van from his time and has to run it off whale oil or something.

I just want like a FR jacket for either lots of brazing stuff or throwing breaks for like 480 and what not. Last thing I really want is nylon melted into my skin incase of a fire
