Need to play around with them. To me, they are too stiff. But, it's my own fault. I'm running a 15mm preload on the front with no weight (except the aluminum skid plate) and the heavy duty leaf pack (rated for a constant load of 660 lbs) with no weight in the back. I plan on adding the diamondback bed cover (or possibly a shell, still undecided) and removing one of the leafs to bring it down to a medium duty pack. And adding a bumper/winch in the front. I think that, along with dialing in the compression/rebound settings will get me where I want to be.

Basically, I love the way it's sitting right now height wise, but the ride is too stiff. Something has to be changed to smooth it out.

All part of the fun my man. Getting some weight on there will certainly take some of that stiffness out. Looks good though

Go Rhino Dominator side steps, OEM black bumper ends and black grill trim, Wet Okole seat covers, Decked drawer system, Snugtop Rebel AVS hood deflector, Baja Rack (Cab), Yakima Snugtop crossbars.
Just picked up Bilstein 6112 w/OME 888 and Bilstein 5100 extended w/Dakar HD leaf pack. Nothing on the front, 400lb constant load in the back. Anxious to get it installed. Hope it works out ok, I keep reading about nightmarish experiences with lifts, this is my first lift and tacoma.

    Bilstein 6112 w/888: 6/5 notch setting

    I guess worse case scenario:
Bro lean - get aftermarket bumper or 5/4
Too much rake - remove 3rd leaf
    Squeaky - live with it
    Vibration - ECGS bushing

planning on -12 offset wheels w/265/76r16 after lift.

I think I’ve been reading too much TWand getting paranoid.

4 banger, 5mt club. She’s about to get a black Softopper put on and (maybe) level out the front end.

4.88s + lockers in the near future as well to make these 285s not feel like they’re filled with cement.. As bad as I want 5.29’s + 35s, that means bumpers, better suspension, etc. I’m just not willing to spend that on a DD when it won’t see that kind of abuse requiring all that armor and 35s.

Think I'm going to sell my GFC reservation and go with something else. The cost to get it to Canada is a hard pill to swallow. But I'm loving the truck how it is

    Bone stock...for now
Nice set-up! I ran the full spectrum on my 2nd gen starting with an AAL and Bilsteins (they were okay, but didn't have the best manners), then OME (much better all around). Still had a lot of sag in the rear when towing or hauling any weight and was VERY happy when I swapped out to Dakar HDs with Icon Stage 1. I'm in the process of swapping out to a 2019 DCLB and already have the Dakars on the shelf ready to go. I'm trying Elka 2.5 extended travels with adjustable resis this time, though. We'll see how it goes! I'd have no hesitation going with Icons again, though, and the Billies may be just fine with the new springs.

Been a minute since I posted in here. Recent pic front a weekend spent hunting in the snow. Goat armor saved me many scratches the day after this pic was taken
