I wanted to upgrade my wheels on my 2006 Tacoma 4 cylinder with 2019 RAV4 OEM wheels. Is there any issue with the Tacoma being rear wheel drive and the RAV4 being front wheel drive?
Here are the wheels I'm looking to purchase, 2019 Wheel RAV 4 Wheel Alloy 17X7 5X114.3 35mm 5 Spoke OEM. It looks like they should fit.

What lug nuts should I use?

Also, what tires would you recommend for best drive and look.

This is my first Tacoma and so far I've learned a lot from the wise Tacoma owners on this site. Thanks, D

    They will probably work.
The critical part is to make sure they clear the front calipers. Unless you've seen the exact style wheel on another 5 lug I would test fit it first.
You'll need flat washer mag lug nuts like these for those wheels.

As far as tires, 235 75R15 is the biggest tire recommended for use with the original 15" steel wheels.
The equivalent 17" tire size is 235 65R17 which should fit without clearance problems.

    I've got 16" RAV4 wheels, originally from 2001 - 2003, on my 5 lug Tacoma. Tires are 225 75 R16 Hankook AT-m'S

I'm looking at a set of 2016 Mustang Rims this am that I'm hoping will fit well to upgrade the truck. The rims and tires size are 235/55R17.

I also just had the front windows tinted.

Bought the set of 17" 2016 Mustang take-off wheels with Hankook Ventus S1 noble2, w 90% tread for $250. Now I need to replace the rim cap and get the correct lugs as suggested by TheBigKahuna (by the way I worked on a film called The Big Kahuna, no relation I'm sure).
Any chance someone has a link to the proper lugs or suggestions about finding a plain center cap?

    The lug nuts look OK.
You should also get a set of hub centering spacers.
The wheels on our Tacomas maintain center on the round center bore of the wheel, not the lug nuts.
You need a spacer ring to center the Mustang wheels (which have a 70.5mm center bore) on the Tacoma hubs (which are 60.1 mm)

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wheel-Hub-...-60-1mm-Aluminium-Alloy-4-rings-/201466003273

For the center caps you'll need to pop one off and measure it because there are several sizes listed for 2016 Mustangs. Then search ebay for that size cap. There are literally hundreds listed per size.

Thanks again for the info. I'm looking into spacers already, but did not have the dimensions. I've found a few options for center caps. Will remove and measure.

Update: Received the black center caps without logo. These are 56mm Black ABS Car Wheel Center Hub Caps Set of 4 I paid $15 from Amazon. They fit slightly differently then the OEM Form caps but will work just great.

And the lug nuts with washers. I found a nice set of 20 lugs on ebay for $40.
DPAccessories LCM3C6HCOCH04020 20 Chrome Lug Nuts for Toyota Lexus Scion Aluminum Wheels 90084-94001 99051.1 Wheel Lug Nut

I'm just waiting for the 70.5mm to 60.1mm center hub spacers. I'll hopefully install the wheel next weekend.

Update. After receiving the center hub spacers and the plain center caps, I installed the 2016 Mustang V6 Stock wheels. Going from the 15" wheels to these 17", raised the truck about 1 1/2" (1/2" less as the tires are lower profile then the originals). The ride is a little smoother. Hugs the road a little better.
    Here's a before and after...

Thanks TheBigKahuna for your help along the way!

    Glad I could help.
    That looks much, much better.
You probably hated the ugly OEM steel wheels as much as I did.

What size tires are you running. Looking at the same ones for a friends Tacoma. Comes with 225/65R17. Hoping they will fit.

    Thanks, Mike

Yeah, @cgiugliano27, what size tires are on your truck, please? Are the stock RAV4 tires (which have a larger outside diameter than stock Tacoma wheels)?

you can go to this website and plug in your original tacoma tire sizes, offsets, rim info, etc, and than type in the new information and see how they compare!! The information in the link below is going from my stock 2000 Tacoma to Mustang rims:
