Looks great! Glad you got it figured out. What tire size? My kit arrives in a few days but I’m not sure when I’ll have the time to install it.

To remove the relocation kit... can I do it on the ground or do I need to Jack the truck up? Do you think I can do it without removing the skid too? I don’t know if there is pressure on that spot with the weight of the truck since I paid for install.

So this happened today...Popped the retaining clip on the trail and had to limp back 40 miles. Anyone know if I can just get a clip from somewhere other than Eibach?

This is alarming! The groove that little clip goes into is not very deep. I wonder if that’s what caused the failure. There’s got to be a ton of stress at that point.

I agree. The groove isn't deep at all and I wasn't even climbing over anything rough, there were a few ruts and some of the other trucks were in 2wd the entire time. There were 10 other Tacomas with me, but none of them were running this kit. Most of them had Bilstiens which uses the same type of clip, but none of them had this problem.

Is your spring perch installed upside down? Seems this would be the only way it could fail.

No it's not installed upside down. It would be too long to fit the top hat on if it was, and it would have collapsed as soon as I put the truck back on the ground.

I'm not running the relocation brackets for the sway bar and have no issues with clearance.

And yes it is possible to install the spring perch upside down. But the truck will sit high in the front.

it actually is possible and a guy a page or two ago had his installed upside down. Take a pic of what yours looks like.

The only other reason why it would have failed is the clip was not seated properly.

I just had Eibach install my kit w/o relocation bracket and I have no issues w/ hitting the sway bar. I'm currently set at the lowest perch as well

I really like the 285/70-17s, wheels with 4.75 backspacing, KO2 Tires, the Eibach Pro Lift kit with the ICON 51100 3 Spring AAL kit.

I had to take off the front mud flaps with everything else remaining stock. The truck handles so much better and is now a pleasure to drive.

I definitely put mine on upside down. I was able to get the top hat on after compressing the hell out of the spring and even after sitting it on the ground it didnt collapse, I would say its worth double checking.
