    Hey guys

I downloaded the wiring diagrams from this site for a 2016 tacoma which is
great but i cannot find where the diagram is that references the LOCATION of the
connectors referenced in the diagrams. Is there a page that shows a truck picture
and where the connectors are ? I also have the 12000 page service manual downloaded
    is it in there?

Well i am getting a new A.R.E top and i want to disconect the led third brake light so it
does not flash in back of the top. It turns out you have to take out part of head liner to get to the
one connector so i figured i would look for the other connector referenced and just cut it there.

But there is no diagram that shows where the connector is. I will post the connector # later i don't have it now.

Thanks for reply are you saying there is a peicture behind the kick panel ?

Why not just unplug the third brake light? It should be removable from outside the truck, unplug it, then re-install.

3rd brake light on 3rd Gen double cab attaches from the inside if I am not mistaken.

Don't think there's any pictures behind the kick panels unless someone's been holding out on me. He was listing possible locations that might have the connector you seek, since you didn't specify what exactly you were after in your first post.

I'd like to know how to find connectors based on diagrams as well. My technique so far has just been to start looking at obvious areas based on components in the diagram. For example, I'd start near the head unit and look for a connector with the same number and arrangement of pins if I were looking at a diagram that also referenced the head unit.

cannot remove 3rd brake light led type on a 2019 tacoma double cab TRD OR from outside 2 screws from inside but
you have to lower headliner which requires quite a bit of work not a simple thing. may have to do that though.

This is what I also wanted to know for installing a hazard strobe module for the 3rd brake light (also tying it to my LED backup lights). Thanks!
