Got a 19OR stock suspension. Looking to switch to the pro style rims (not the new 2020 ones), with some 265/70/17 wildpeaks. I’ve seen some wheels that are different sizes so I’m not sure which ones would give me no issues with rubbing etc.

Should be good to go with that size, you may get some slight rub on the factory front mudflaps. Just take them off or trim them a bit.

I have '12 TRDS stock suspension with MT 17X9 wheels running P265/70R17. There is minor rubbing but only on very tight turns, not a very big deal. Removing front mud flaps helped but did not fix.

Doing the same research. I have 2019 DCSB OR. Here is my understanding. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Stock OR wheels are 16”x7” with a +25mm offset. This is our reference point.

There are TWO kinds (well, now three withe 2020 wheels) of TRD Pro wheels:

TRD Pro Tacoma wheels which are 16”x7” with a +13mm offset and will move the tire outward 1/2”. These are gloss black. The largest tire you can put on a stock suspension with this wheel is 265/75/R16. If you’re lifted or have Pro many people have been able to run 285s.

TRD Pro 4Runner wheels which are 17”x7” with a +4mm offset and will move the tire outward 1 1/3”. These are flat black. The largest tire you can run with this wheel is a 265/70/R17 even if you are lifted.

These applications should not rub, unless you have mud flaps. Everything rubs mud flaps.

I’m considering the TRD Pro 4Runner wheels. The best I’ve seen them priced is $160 a wheel, plus $100 shipping and no tax for a total of $740. I can get them from a local dealership for $170 plus tax for a total of $749.

    Is this a good price?

Where did you see the wheels for that price?

I just did the grey 4-runner TRD wheels yesterday with the 265/70/R17 BFG KO2's. Stock 2019 DCSB OR. No rubbing as of yet, but haven't gone off road with it. I have a least a finger at the tightest spot, so I'm thinking I'll be good unless I'm stuffing the front (not like they really "stuff") at almost a full turn. So far I really like it.

For the record, i got my 4-runner TRDs for $775 on Amazon shipped... So $750 local would be a pretty good price. I tried local, but the lowest I could find was $795 w/ tax. Amazon didn't have tax since I'm in DE.

I'll grab a pic of the new setup.

    Don

Just to let you guys know, I ended up going with the new Method MR315s. The offset and backspace are very similar (+4mm vs 0 or 1/8” difference) and they are hub centric unlike 305s. I was torn between the TRD 4Runner Pro Wheels and the Methods... but finding them in a hub centric version and being able to keep my 16” tires was the motiving factor.

    Try 265/60/18 -12
That is an OEM size so no rub.
The -12 offset gives it a really nice look.

I do have a lift. Bilstein 8112s in the front with Camburg UCAs and and 5160s in the rear with Wheeler 3 pack AAD. The total lift is about 2" all the way around. The tires are 265/75/R16s with 0 offset and 4.5 backspacing...
