Exactly why I went with red bulbs even though I really liked the look of blue bulbs.

Ive got a dash light out too. Was just gonna keep the orange. But I do like the look of that red. Maybe if I actually ever get around to changing it Ill swap colors.

I've never had a dash light out on my tacomas or LC, all still pea soup green. But I was going to switch them all to Amber LEDs

Those newer F-150s let you change all that in any color you want.

Yeah it sucks mine went out with 80k miles but I suspect it's due to always having my headlights on when on the highway and not thinking to turn the dimmer switch off for the gauges

I did blue lights a few years back on my dash. In town with lights they don’t bother me but 99% of my night driving is dark country back roads. I dim them as low as possible and often turn them off. Don’t drive enough at night to care to change them out yet. But one of these days I’ll switch to red or maybe even white for a clean look

I HATE all the new cars on the road with LED lights. Europe figured this out over a decade ago that these cars blind people when you aren't a flat road... Or intersection that the road is crowned ... or ... many other situations.

Same. It's getting so bad around here. Not so much the new cars though some of them are blindingly bright...but the assholes with older cars that throw LEDs in them and then blind the hell out of everyone. Its pretty much every other car on the road out here now.

I don't mind them, I don't drive the LC that much and rather enjoy the nostalgia of that color. But usually if I drive the tacomas (all three over the years) I'm driving a long ways and I like the calming colors. I notice since my Z has the stock orange lights, I can turn them down super low and still clearly read them and it's less fatiguing at night (when I enjoy driving the most)

If I’m not mistaken, the 2000 Tacoma had green on black instrument cluster.

When I do the swap, Ill just order new bulb covers in a different color and stick to incandescents. Dont really see the point with LED's.

Mine went out at 65k at the first cold snap last winter. Was hoping for another one to bite the dust this year, but it was my dome lights turn instead.

I find myself being blinded, so I flash my brights at em. Then I get flashed back with the full force of the sun. Just like that meme haha.

Its something I never really thought of until I joined on here haha. 92 had green as does my moms highlander. All other Toyotas in the family have orange. Neither bothers me, but I prefer the orange/amber/red colors looks-wise.

    Amber and green are good
Bright Green (555 nanometers) is the most Visible color to the human eye.

Tundra dash I can turn down to almost
Off and still see it Clearly. Same for the taco

Its true. I put blue leds in for about 20 minutes and hated em. Leds in general were obnoxiously bright. I went for some regular bulbs and green bulb covers on them

Especially in Colorado. It’s bad. We don’t have the lane line reflectors like California because they have to shovel snow. So everyone’s lights are LED and most of the time using brights.
