You're about to change a burnt-out incandescent and you're telling me you don't see the point :p

My rear dome lights stopped working right after I got my truck. Replaced them and they worked again for maybe a week and then went out..again. Haven't messed with them since but might try to figure it out one day

Who said I was actually gonna do it anytime soon haha? Seems some people have issues with them and not just from having them in backwards. Do they even function with the dimmer? I have mine dimmed all the way most of the time.

Never had luck with cheap leds. Think I’m going to try philips or Sylvania for my taco

Yup, LEDs dim if you don't buy the cheapo ones on eBay (even most of those dim though) and most nice ones will internally swap polarity if for some reason you cant figure it out yourself.

yes I'm calling myself out because i didn't take a single picture of the work but i checked off a few things on my list today.

Installed rebuilt rear diff from ECGS with 5.29's
Gave a little TLC to the locker actuator
scrubbed 20 years of crud off the underside of the engine
    Broke a break line
threw in New diff plugs and breathers
prepped front diff mounts for new bushings
    restored about 100 fasteners
installed wheel bearing kits (Front Range for fronts, Marlin for rear)

Yep. I may need to go #overland #EAF #stupidwasteofmoney and get a light bar to flash people with so that their response of blinding me is worthy.

    :frusty:

$10. My SuperBrightLEDs were ~$10 to replace the 4 bulbs in the instrument cluster. They dim all the way down to fully off just fine.

My brights are good enough for that in front, bit I'll admit I've wanted a collapsing sun for the rear a few times.

Yeah, I was tailgated last night by several trucks while I was riding my motorcycle. Two of them had new LED headlights with improper cutoffs after they lifted 10+" and another just threw in those fucking shitty blue bulbs. I had to punch my mirrors to get them to stop reflecting the blinding light into my eyes.

Ive got a 20" bar hidden in the bumper. But even I wont flash people with it. Not worth causing an accident. My Philips X-Treme vision bulbs are way brighter than stock, so those have gotta be getting my message across.

I've done that haha. I'll just aim the headlight directly back at them with the mirror.

I was told those phillips bulbs dont last long, but knock on wood theyve been going for 2 years now. I like em enough to never buy another kind of bulb again. $25 shipped to my door from Amazon last I checked.

I put those in the 02 and they blew out in 5 months. Twice. Right now it has some
Chinese specials that are decently bright but going on 1 year now.

I've had it done for a few years. I was rarely driving at night and got 10-12k miles per bulb. Now that I'm doing more night driving, I'm waiting for the 55W bulbs that came with my CAPA certified replacements to burn out before I put in the 90/95W bulbs.

I never got flashed running the 80/85W bulbs because they were properly aimed due to the OEM light housings meant for halogens, but I could see much better. It is annoying getting blinded by the reflections on the highway signs since the retroreflectiveness has increased in the past several years.
