MuzzleLoader or 4WD?

Deer season is about on us again and i have the itch to get a muzzle loader so i dont have to keep borrowin my friends. But my cv axles also just went bad on the Taco. I am in college and make about 100 bucks a week working so i dont really have all that much money. Fall break is coming around the corner in just 2 weeks and I am going to have to either buy new CV axles for the truck and borrow the muzzleloader for a while longer or just have a 2wd for another month or two and get me a new deer killer. I also want to get 4wd back since the snow is comin and last winter we got hammered here in SW VA. Which would yall do?

And NO I WILL NOT ASK DADDY FOR MONEY. that is all

Oh, an any opinions on a TC Impact (the new lower level TC), triumph and omega would be appreciated. Im thinkin i might go with the impact since it has the same barrel as the higher level loaders and use the money i save to get a nice burris or nikon or even a leupold scope.

 

I would fix the 4wd. If you rely on your 4wd during the snow season then I would worry about my health and safety before anything else

 

You could by the muzzleloader use it for deer season. Then take it to a pawn shop and get the money for your boots. then pay off the pawn and get your gun back.

Dude, this should be a no-brainer. FIX your truck.

Do you have manual hubs up front? Cuz if you don't - those CV axles are turning 100% of the time even while in 2WD.

If you don't have manual locking hubs, then get the CV's fixed or else you won't have a truck to take you anywhere.

 

Well its more for fun than necessity.I like to go and ride over the national forest roads right after snow before anyone else gets up there. they do a real good job of cleanin up the roads and i dont think we will get hit till about november or december with snow.

they arent broke. just disabled

 

cant keep up with these posts. thanks for the thoughts. i do have auto hubs so i know they are turning thats why they broke in the first place. wish i did have manual hubs though.

do the rockauto cv's come with lifetime warranty like the autozone ones?

then man up, and take care of your priorities first. you already know the answer to your question - don't look to others to justify bad decisions. not trying to sound harsh - these decisions are a part of growing up.

no brainer. learn this lesson early. in life when it comes to spending money..there are "wants" and "needs". money goes to the "needs" first.

fix the truck. besides all the cool kids these days are bowhunting..hahahha.

They are disabled...for now. Leaving them "disabled" isn't how I would go.

 

Fix your rig.

 

fix cv's.-> provide taxi service during snow season.-> buy new gun.
