I just had this happen to me. I didn't think to check the app to see if I could shut it off. But just parked, did the dance, key out doors closed and it was still idling. Not sure what I did wrong.

 

Let it run, it will have turned off. Some sequences timing mixed with diff ECU revs (whether re-flashed or re-flashed via dealer TSB i.e. transmission jerk TSB) and so on do that. Let it run, it will turn off I believe within about a minute. If it does NOT, then contact me. The system can still be doing it's "check" if you catch the ready mode at the tail end of the starter's code loop. Perfectly fine. Test it next time. If it goes past a minute, call me. I'll take care of it.

Yes, 15 minutes it will shutdown AFTER REMOTE STARTED and then not doing anything else. It does NOT run for 15 minutes after exiting and HKEY MANUAL TRANSMISSION. 1 minute or less, max as mentioned or else contact me.

I recently installed this and had a quick question.....

When pressing the remote start aren't I supposed to get a green light indicating the vehicle has received the command?

Not necessarily, look at the little white cheat sheet provided with the bubble package that contained the RF kit; it contains the command list and it tells you what each command shows as far as LED color, and number of blinks for successful reach and associated sound.

Successful
Lock = 1 Green flash
Unlock - 2 Green flashes
Engine Start - 2 Green flashes and ascending sound
Engine Stop - 2 Red flashes and descending sound

Unsuccessful
Lock = Long beep and Red LED on
Unlock - Long beep and Red LED on
Engine Start - Long beep and Red LED on
Engine Stop - Long beep and Red LED on

 

Maybe already covered but.. If I got the phone app is that the only way to remote start the truck or does it also come with a remote? Just thinking ahead if I end up not renewing the app or maybe don't have my phone with me etc.

 

Your key fob still works 3 pushes on lock will start it. Unsure about if it's a manual though.

Your OEM fob will always be able to do it with 3X lock to start, same to stop the engine. Even on manual transmission, no different. Videos on our website and YouTube showing people do it. That's the beauty of it, NO EXTRA fobs to carry. You always have your OEM fob and phone in your pocket. We just allow you to utilize them to do this cool stuff!

What if this is not happening though??

.... like for example
When I start the truck remotely (hold for approx 3 sec) solid blue light then the blue light flashes, truck starts, red flash and one beep.

no green when I unlock just a blue flashing, a beep and red flash
no green when I lock either just a blue flashing, a beep and red flash

 

Is there any update on the testing for the 2020 with smart key.
