Wanna trade some stuff? I'd be up for it, except for the stouts that I only got 1 can of, of course. There are two stouts that I could trade - one that I got two of (Double Shot), and one that I got three of (That's What She Said).

 

Around here the avg is about 70 for 6g.

Local places start around $75 for the Vintners Reserve brand. Then go upwards towards the $200 area. Want to take a shot at doing an Old Vine Zin for starters.
Would like by next Holiday season to have a stock of Bordeaux blend on hand to make Gluhwein/mulled wine.

 

I like mindful I here spoonwood is ok I've never been.

 

Went to a local place this afternoon and drank some good and weird stuff. They say they brew over 200 small batches a year and never repeat the same thing twice. I sampled ten different beers, the most normal of which was a Belgian Golden Strong and they were all good.

These are the two bottles I brought home to try and a partial beer list of their variety.

 

I've never tried any of the concentrates. I use pure grape juice and only add yeast so far I've had good luck.

 

Spoonwood is just about average. It’s goid, but a solid average. It’s definitely worth a trip. You could do Spoonwood, Mindful, Caliente than Hitchhiker realitively easy. “If you have a driver”

 

This morning is cold and rainy at work so I decided to do a small government job. This is my pump I’ll be using to recirculate ice water through my immersion chiller. I’m trying to get everything done because I am getting dangerously low on home brew. I’ve got my ingredients, I just need to get my hardware lined out.

The few of those i've tried (peaches, raspberry, etc) have been hit or miss... Sometimes they taste crazy boozy and excessively "Belgian" but i like Epic, that was awhile ago, maybe they were newer at them then?

What's your plan for your setup, interested in your relays/controllers and such there. Have you used your chiller with regular water and not been able to get it cold enough? I set up an ice bath pump for mine once and it killed the ice in no time and I still needed to use tap to drop it to pitching, so I gave up haha. Didn't want to go getting ice all the time.

 

This is nothing too fancy. Just a simple power supply to the pump with a manual switch in between them. I will be using a suicide cord to plug in to the 120 receptacle.

I am planning on recirculating after due to no water in the garage. One day I’d like to get a utility sink plumbed up, but until then I will have to make due. Over in town we have one of those road side ice machines that gives you 20lb for something like $2 so I am hoping a couple of those will work.

 

Ah ok, that's cool. I'd love to have a brew shed or something like that but yeah, not having water must make it tough....
