But what is the weight? Ko2 are 55lbs.

 

I'm trying to stay away from Kbro2s. Wildpeaks I am going for. Falken 275/70/r17 are 57lbs and 285/70/r17 are 61lbs.

 

I'm hoping to find something in 50lb range. If not I've had good luck with the ko2 so far but they were on the truck when I bought it new.

 

I know others have had Falken AT3Ws and been very happy with them, but I have had terrible luck with the Falkens. They have excellent wet traction and ride soft (I got them P Rated, 4 Ply), but they simply will not balance after nearly 10 attempts including 2 road force. Even when we seemed to get it right, they would need rebalancing within a few thousand miles. Had one replaced under warranty and am now having all four replaced under warranty. Hope your luck is better than mine if you go this route.

 

I'm in no hurry. Truck is just over 3yrs old with less than 20k. Ko2's still look like new but if something comes out with good reviews in the next 4 to 5yrs I may change.

 

I can attest to this. I have nearly 65k on a set of 265/65 6 ply, and it has been a battle. They started vibing hard around 35k miles. I now have a set of 5 Hankook AT2 4 ply in 265/70 on the way.

 

2” up front? Anything on the rear?

 

Following up on install. As I posted earlier, I installed 275/70R17 C rated Mastercraft AXT2s, which are 6 ply and weigh approx 48lbs. They just came out in the last few months and will be replacing the original AXTs, which from what I can tell is mastercrafts version of the Cooper Discoverer AT3. The new AXT2s have a bit more aggressive sidewall and tread pattern than the originals. I picked them because they were the only reputable 275 I could find in a C load range. These served as a warranty replacement for my P285/70R17 Falken wildpeaks that just wouldn’t balance.

RIDE: So far, so good— they ride quietly, fairly softly (no noticeable difference compared to 4ply and still much softer than my old 10 ply), and look pretty good. Will update on wet weather traction, as we haven’t had any yet to speak of.
SIZE: At first I was disappointed in the change in size from 285s, but after the first few days I really didn’t notice the difference. Nobody else seemed to notice either. The 275s are about a half inch smaller in diameter and width, but still measure in at 32.2” tall and 11.1” wide.

275/70-17 Cooper ST Maxx load range E. fantastic road manners, excellent in snow/slush/rain highway driving, better than hankook dynapros, ko2’s and duratracs in my opinion. They provide a really stable feel on and off-road. Awesome on high speed washboard FSR’s and tighter slower trails as they should be.
2” spacer lift up front and 2” AAL in the back, still rubs the UCA mounted on stock sport wheels but very mildly under full lock. But clears the flaps and cab mount. It is a daily driver/dirt bike hauler so I can’t speak for stuffing the tires in the wheel well like some but it’s been close from I can tell and so far no issues.
28 psi rear and 29 psi front, set and forget on tire pressure was the sweet spot for me and I couldn’t be happier with the overall performance and look.

After a week of going back and forth between 265 and 275, I called my parts guy to jump on the 275 wildpeaks but they were on B/O till end of Decemeber. Since I'm doing a trip up north at the end of December, I didn't want to risk having to use these stock 265/65 toyo's so I told him to get me 265's instead. He wouldn't let me go 265 so he's getting me 275 Ko2's at the same price as wild peaks.

Last picture before the new tires get put on tomorrow, then breaking them in on Saturday. Currently have have 6112s up front set at 3rd notch with 1/4 spacer on the driver side to level it out. I'm doing 5160's for the rear but still trying to figure out what and when I'm putting in my bed(rack/rtt) before purchasing the AAL's/Leafs. Heavily thinking about the Icon Progressive AAL or RXT leaf

 

Taking these out on the trails tomorrow to see how much trimming I’ll have to do. Don’t tell me I won’t have to cause I already rubbed leaving a driveway.

 

Hoping to fit this size with either 1” up front or 1.5” front and rear, although it sounds like lift isn’t the issue. I’ve read through most of this thread and reports are somewhat conflicting, it seems like general consensus is some trimming/molding required but no CMC or pinch weld? Does amount of front lift make any difference? Thanks!

 

Im running 2/1 front rear respectively 275/70/17 ko2’s on a 2018 sport 4x4, stock wheels and front valance removed. When reversing and turning the wheel completely right/left It’ll Rub just a bit. If I let the wheel go a tad it stops. I’m assuming if I would have gone 1/1.5 up front It would rub more than it currently does.

Go 275, if I had gone 265 I would have regretted it. I haven't really bothered trimming anything as my daily commute doesn't cause it to rub, and if it did it would be very light on the liner. I won't be doing anything crazy until spring, but once I do, I know I'll have to trim the liners for sure.
