Don't think there is another beta update. If I remember correctly, the next release will be 2.0 final

I'm calling OFT again a little later today for a status update but they are expecting it ready this week. I did not want to post an exact time on facebook so I just said by the end of the month (in reference to that post). If all goes smoothly it should be ready in the next few days.

We already have readout on 18+ working, flashing is in final tests

But does the HH I got last month stay with me or is it going to have to go back to you?

Stays with you. It's just a software update using the handheld manager software, does not have to be switched out or anything

Ok so now it's starting to make sense. We're going to update the HH firmware, then flash the '18+. So the question would be instructions/link on doing that, and instructions/link on reading/saving/backing-up OEM ECU file, and pre-loading the HH with the OVT file for '18+?

Yes, the handheld firmware updates to the latest version every time you connect it to your computer and run the manager software. That is covered in OFTs knowledgebase topics that our instructions link to.
All instructions for saving, reading, writing, uploading tunes, etc are on the knowledgebase and there are walk through videos as well. The current ones you will just need to email us with your ori file (the readout) and we will send over the maps to load.

It is a little confusing at the moment because the 18+ issue. As soon as it all gets smoothed out it will function exactly like the 16-17s which is plug into truck > read ecu > flash preset tune on the handheld (*however not all ecu IDs are preset, as we mention in our instructions if your ECU cal is 04B00, 04B01 you should really get the TSB first so we don't preload those)

So you recommend the TSB being done before flashing the tune? If that is the case I'm in trouble, I've had my truck in twice at the dealer asking for a trans TSB and they "couldn't replicate the issue". That is the main reason in buying the HH is so i don't have to play fuck fuck games with the dealer to get the shifting fixed.

it's only necessary really for 04B00 and 04B01, both are very old CAL IDs, (early 2016 trucks).

These TSBS are pretty much a "requirement" to ever get the FULL benefits of tuning. Not because we can't make the same maps, but because toyota changes a lot of the code sections, which we cannot do.

Mine is a 2016 with an order date of 12/15, delivered in 2/16. So that seems pretty early to me, looks like i need to beg the dealer for a TSB

Unless someone is near you who can help you out with updating. @Shellshock was referring to a list of TW users that's floating around in this thread who have volunteered to use their copy of Techstream to help people apply the TSB

LoL! 5hrs one way is a pretty far, but I'd be up for a drive or possibly as part of a camping trip.
