Well fellers, I've got a weird issue with my truck. Only happens when its colder outside, haven't noticed exact temps but probably under 50 I start noticing it and 30's and under its much much worse.

So here's the deal, these cold mornings, I'll fire it up and warm it a few before heading out. The first time I come to a stop it feels like the brakes lock up. The next time I stop its not as bad and after a few stops its fine and doesn't act up again until it sits in the cold awhile. I have noticed if I pump the brakes a few times before I take off and stop at the end of my driveway it seems to help to lock up as hard. This happens just before the truck comes to a stop, using the brakes feels normal until that final stop. I'm not even sure where to begin to look or what to check since it only happens when its cold. Haven't been able to pinpoint if its front or rear but the whole truck jumps, shakes as if I slammed the brakes on and hit a curb.

    Any clues?

When is the last time you greased the splines on your rear drive shaft?

Possibly flash rust on rotors/drums caused by cold damp air condensation on warm dry steel after parking for the night. Smoky Mtn. FOG.

this is what i was recommended by an '18 Tacoma person to remove all the FF i sprayed on so i can continue the mod when weather is appropriate

"Use a scotch brite pad, sand paper or wire brush or prep like you would any other metal surface before painting. The stuff is just a film it's not like it etches."

I had good luck with a pressure washer and heavy degreaser. However you will likely not be able to get it out of inside the frame.
