Apple CarPlay Update?

    Hello everyone, new forum member here. With the new 2020 Tacomas being offered with apple CarPlay, has anyone heard if there will be a software update to accommodate CarPlay on older 3rd gen trucks? I called my deanship, but they did not know if it would be offered or not. I know there are aftermarket options available, but if there would be a software update offered it would be preferable to keep the hardware stock. Thanks!

    Never Never Modify! Keep it aggravation free!
    I contacted Toyota corporation and they said there will be no software update to the 2016-2019 models. No CarPlay and No Android Auto. Booooooooooo

    No, previous year models will not as the hardware doesn't allow it.
