I haven't needed any major engine work yet. Knock on wood. Just body, suspension stuff that I do my stuff all by myself with my good friends You Tube and Factory Servicemanual. Though I am going to jump in and tackle my own timing belt this spring since that's not really internal motor stuff.

Hey all... I put up an intro in the newbie section when I first joined a couple months ago, but I got a good recommendation to introduce myself here as well since I hope to join a few of the activities. Bought my first Toyota in mid August, and love it compared to my Suby I had before. So happy to actually have something with personality and is fun to drive now. Work in PA (Kind of Prussia area), and live in Wilmington DE.

Been a Ford guy for trucks up to now with a couple Broncos and Rangers, and still have a F250 that I use for camping with the family or heavy hauling duties.

Here is the truck as it sits today, just put wheels and tires on it Saturday, but other than that just a cap and a bed rug for the dog. This weekend was the first time running the tire machine myself, took me a good 2.5 hours to take the old ones apart for the TPMS and put the new ones together (multiple times) making sure to get the lowest weight possible. Fun stuff for a car guy, I've been wanting to do that for a long time. Going to build a partial platform for the back to get some additional storage under the dog cage this winter, but otherwise plan to keep it minimal for commuting since I spend a lot of time behind the wheel for work.

BTW... Anyone local that needs help during the cold with small truck projects let me know. I have a pretty well stocked garage (tools/heat/TV/beer fridge/two-post lift), no current projects, and don't mind helping people do things like brakes/oil/etc and drink a few beers at night.

    Don
