    Yes, get genuine Toyota pinion seals front and rear. Go to the dealership with your VIN#

    Your front ring and pinion only spin in 4wd, so it can only break in with 4wd actuated.

    the shop said they have had good luck with the seal that come with the kits.
    I said well 99% of your work is Jeeps and huge GMCs, so unless you do gears on yotas day in and out, you don’t really know do you.

    If you get a chance to do a side by side comparison of the quality rubber in the seal, you'll see the difference is very apparent.

    OP, did you experience any additional noise with the new gears? I was told by a few cryo/rem outfits that additional gear noise is a common occurrence with treated gears

    Does anyone know where nitro gears are made compared to g2, or motive gears?

    Second question pertains to G2 gears- anyone have a bad Toyota experience with them? Just noticed them available in 5:29s for the 8 inch and 8.4 inch rear ends.

    3rd Motive gears makes 5:29 also, and bad experiences?

    I can get motive and g2 for half the cost of Nitros......

    I didnt, I get some low dif howl at specific speeds, with specific throttle input but happens so rarely I never notice it. No more or less than stock really.

    So I’ve got about 450 miles on the new gears and have not put it in 4 wheel drive yet... I’ve always been told to not engage on dry concrete but I don’t really have any unpaved roads near me.. will I be alright to just cruise around in 4H ?
