    It'll be fine, prep your welds well. Chamfer your edges, set the power to D and the wire speed appropriately. I weld everyday with a Lincoln 175 at work and rarely turn it up to max for anything under 3/8. The 140 (which I have at home) should be great for your bumper if it's 3/16 to a 1/4. If it is a 1/4 consider doing a root filet and then a bottom and top filet in that order.

    Actually yes, I have looked at an illuminated blue sign at night. And it's a sign... just like a green sign or any other sign.

    But what does your comment have to do with the post you quoted? Blue signs are for NON directional "service" information. Green is for directional information. Because green signifies "to proceed"... you know, like GREEN LIGHTS.

    Don't believe me... ok... read the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices... that's the code that determines sign shapes, sizes, and... well, would ya look at that... COLORS.

    MT has some black signs too, forget what they're for.. might be night speed limits for rural roads

    I am stupid. I have read all of the warnings and still did not respond so .......today I am replacing a failed LBJ. also doing the uppers and anything else in there as I inspect. Both sides. AND every 100k miles hereafter.

    good luck. i just did this job yesterday, thankfully before a failure. i had to beat the crap out of one of the stems, a result of using the wrong puller. once i got a pitman on there square, it popped off. lots of pressure needed. have a long breaker handy.

    @turbodb sells a hardline set. I plan on going wheelers tundra lines and his hard lines eventually, but I don't want my banjo bolt lines to go to waste.

    I disagree. 100% disagree. The stock brakes are not very safe unless the truck is completely empty and has no gas in the tank.

    Huh? Aside from the people that post on here, the overwhelming majority of 1st gen owners are rocking the stock brakes. If they are unsafe as you say they are, there would be more accidents reported/recalls etc.

    I see zero reason for tundra brakes on a truck unless its heavily loaded down, on bigger tires etc.
