To start off, I would like to say it's taken me 2 days at work to read this entire thread. I don't know if I'm more educated, or more confused. My HPTuners unit got delivered today, and I've been in touch with @JustDSM for tuning.
Those of you that have deleted the CAT OVER TEMP protection, and are N/A, and running stock cats / y pipe, have you noticed any damage to your cats? I'm a month or so out from getting headers, but would like to disable that feature. Also will be installing the cam gears that I got from @mightytacoman. I guess my big question is should I wait till I get headers do delete the cat over temp protection? I should add this truck isn't even driven on the street. ;)

P.S. anyone local to Salem, Or?

No damage here totally stock since July? Idk, I hopped on it pretty well as soon as it was supported. The way i look at it, my other previous vehicles' cats lasted at least 10 years without the overtemp protection (they were much older, cable throttle etc) so that's what I would expect with this. And worst case, they do burn out and get replaced with something better.

Since you’ve been in contact with the Master @JustDSM, he will get you set up in the right direction. He has a really sweet n/a 87 octane tune that utilizes the Cat Over Temp for some extra fueling. I highly recommend trying this tune.

    Cherrs!

Went to read for the first time and kept getting this message: unable to retrieve flash data.

Found this on a quick google search. 20191115_224608.jpg Screenshot_20191115-230255_Chrome.jpg

Yeah. Tried my wifi and mobile hotspot. Both work and are strong.

In searching google and talking with justin, and I quote from the master himself "
It appears some of the first production years seem to have a random calibration that they missed when adding support.

It's been a quick fix in the one instance I had with the guy and his 2007. It was the weekend when we had issues and they had it sorted out Monday or Tuesday." So looks like it's not going to he a huge problem. :annoyed:I already submitted a ticket with HPTuner .

I just read through this giant thread and I'm excited about the potential of this product.
I recently acquired a mk3 rotrex kit and I think I may be the first to run it on hptuners

Said screw it... heres my JUNK!

    V12 ND4's shift points!

    V11 Here -> https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/page-219#post-21427790

    Changes from V11:
    • 1-2 upshift moved up slightly overall to hold on to first gear a lil longer especially in the mid throttle input
    • 3-4 upshift moved up slightly in mid throttle pedal inputs to hold into 3rd a lil longer at those input ranges (very subtle, 50 ds rpm =~ 1-1.5mph)
    • 2-1 downshift, moved up from being completely flat so we actually have some semblance of a downshift without having to bury your foot like stock.
    • 3-2 downshift, moved back to close to stock curve in mid to upper throttle inputs (to help reduce the "have to bury your foot to downshift feeling") while keeping the slightly reduced curve down low to help with 3/2 gear hunting.
Dont forget to have a look at the "Gear Pressures" sheet as my gear pressure values are there that I run for ALL gears.

Again: If you are inputting these values into your tune take note of the BRIGHT RED highlighted axis and cell values. THESE ARE NO LONGER DIFFERENCE VALUES as the axis values have been changed.

And finally as always, ANY FEEDBACK / QUESTIONS / COMMENTS are VERY welcome!
