Ya, mine should be scotch free. I've only trailed the truck mildly when camping due to its limitations already present stock haha. Is that a bad spot for rust or something?

i think its a bad spot for paint getting all crunchy on the top from roadspray getting kicked back up there from the tires, and probably just sits around not easily washed off
but if plain old water from a warmer climate with no ice (just puddles, wet roads, etc.) does NOT make the frame paint all crunchy and peeling up there then this Toyota paint is total garbage in its defense against road chemicals :notsure: it just seeps through it somehow and starts creeping over time

the paint must be replaced with something more durable is what i am concluding because i have no other explanations for it!

Building some storage boxes in the back of my truck once I get a camper next summer. Using 1x1 aluminum profiling to build it, something like what I've attached below. My question is, with the fuel tank being on the driver side as well, should I think about making it on the other side? Thanks
