    I paid more then most would for a set of good stock size pads and rotors and a full flush of the fluid. Now when other people drive my truck, I have to warn them about the brake pedal sensitivity. Rock hard, takes almost no pedal travel to stop my truck.

    The problem I had with the stock brakes is it seemed like I warped the rotors, damn near every 12 months.

    I'm going on 2 years now, and my rotors look nearly the same as they did when I put them on. No warps, and they stop WAY better than my stock brakes ever did, on their best day.

    I have mods
    I haven't had any issue with warped rotors yet. I replaced the pads and rotors with brand new when I first got the truck, using ceramic pads. Still working good after 14k miles. I'll eventually do the Tundra brakes but I want the brakes on the truck now to get some useful life first.

    Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
    Warped rotors are why I upgraded. Stoping power with the stock is good. Tundra obviously is better, but also no more warpage issues.

    I have never cared for the blue but I do like red the most. To me blue is more blinding and red is a softer color and easier for me to see.

    The Tundra brakes are so much beef... My wife drives a Silverado 1500 and the size difference over even those brakes is hilarious.

    bearings would be my first assumption. Or too much gear friction from bad R&p meshing. Which could be from a bad install or again, bad bearings

    Yeah, they are huge. I dont really need all that stopping power honestly. I think I might just go with the kit I posted. It seems to have good reviews and its $160 for all new stuff.

    Give a shout any time. I've got 5 more sets in stock waiting for new homes. Also - my hard line kits work with several different (essentially the same) stainless steel lines, and the Wheeler's ones are the most expensive...so you might want to consider a different flex line.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I've never bothered with the Tundra brakes, honestly seems like too much trouble to have my caliper bolts rub my coilovers and for only a modest increase in braking that was about the same as having Hawk pads on my stockers. We will see with 35s if I change my mind, for the price and extra crap involved I doubt I will.

    Huh, I've never noticed any rubbing of caliper bolts - this the first I've heard of it. I'll have to check my coils when I'm under there next time.

    Oh, and I did a little :sawzall: today.

    I thought Tundra brakes solved the caliper bolt rubbing problem? I have the stock brakes and the banjo bolt rubs the Kings

    I was going to upgrade to Tundra brakes if only to get rid of that issue alone

    @m3bassman mentioned it in the other thread last week I think that going to Tundra brakes solved his banjo bolt rubbing issue

    I need to download that template to make sure they'll fit my 16" wheels first.

    I currently have a stainless steel line to my tundra brakes, does the hardline increase performance?

    No, it won't. It only solves the problem with adapting a banjo bolt line to a caliper not designed for banjo bolts.
