I’v painted 100’s of horns with Rustoleum Industrial Enamel rattle cans with no issue. I switched over to oil based and use an HVLP, but it’s so messy I’m switching back to the rattle cans because it dries as a powder and you can sweep it up. The oil based just sticks to everything.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The place you bought your trans and t-case wanted $1300 for a trans and t-case when I called them.

I got a trans, t-case and front drive line for right at $1000... delivered to my door (and my flex plate hasn't blown up :D )

I don’t know what happened with me, I guess I just got lucky. They had like >20 first and second gens when I went there. My whole combo with 151k was just $450.

    Loaded into my truck too.

I had the same question in my mind on the drive to work; I want to do a slightly 'smoother' rhino type paint job but I doubt I could knock it out myself and have satisfactory results.

Was quoted $200 for the transfer case.

I saved the pic of your receipt for that shop in Hayward; realistically though I may order a new one as they're not all that expensive.

The 2x dries in like 15 mins. All their other kinds of paint are runny and dont dry for like 8 weeks. My coworkers like that industrial crap for some reason, no matter how many times I tell them to opt for the 2X.

You’re going to order a custom driveline? That’s a lot of money. Cut and balance was only $200 for me.

I wonder if it's a humidity thing... Never have had any issue with dry time for any of their products

Really, even the Cali formula Rusto dries to the touch within a few hours.

I have a commercial auto body infrared drier that helps bake on the paint, but even without it, it still dries fine.

Not bad. Those Tom Woods shafts are like $600+ I think

You must really not like your truck if you want me to paint it.

Idk, could be. Anytime I want to paint something the weather is horrible haha. Cold and humidity do affect dry times.

It’s got quite a bit of texture, it’s fairly smooth if you spray it I think

damn if that deal is out there for one then I would snatch it up...even Napa rear drive shafts are like $800 - $1k iirc

I hear those one piece shafts have issues of their own though...I dunno. Plus you lose clearance with them
