I am taking a college class BORDER AND COASTAL SECURITY.. and I need ideas for what to do my 10 Page Research Paper on.. I figured instead of trying to do something generic that is on the National news.. what are some things you guys know about that pertains more to down there..

Something I could write 10 Pages (double spaced) about, and find atleast 10 sources of information either in writing or online.

Hopefully you guys can come up with a few ideas and i can pitch them to the teacher and seee if he will approve any of them.

How about what level of force is acceptable for use by border patrol?

like that big controversy when the one border patrol guy shot those mexicans when they were throwin rocks

Just be careful and don't pick some "way off" topic that you can't find enough information on to fill the 10 pages. I have made that mistake before.

Not sure if it has to do with the US and this kinda falls under "border and coastal" security but what about. Modern day "slavery" of immigrants. It happens a lot where young women come to a country and their passports & visas are taken and they are forced into some sort of slavery, many times prostitution. Here is an example of an article I read the other day about a woman who was forced into working as a nanny for free and finally escaped.
