Why the longer belt? I thought the JFR wrap and a 2.6 will work great

Had a brand new fleetrunner 69.5" belt i had cut sitting around so i threw it on just for good measure. I am not running any wrap mods, only the Roush tensioner. I was running a 69" belt with my 2.3

were you happy with the tensioner position with the 2.3/ 69" combo?

I was happy with it, and never had any issues with it, but i never really checked to see if the tensioner position was optimal. It seemed correct though, it was somewhere in the middle of the tensioner travel

I switched up from a 2.3 to a 2.5 for a brief second some time ago just for testing purposes or something and I couldn't stand the lack of response it had, I'm hyper sensitive to changes though so it was just me.

    Yep, paranoid.

I barely drive mine so im probably less aware of the changes, i just know it hauls compared to my 4 cylinder
No denying that.. i blame the UCon. Had issues on day 1 and have been a skeptic ever since

Gentlemen, I've come for your help with a lot of questions. I'm on the brink of purchasing a supercharger; I'd like to polish out the logistics before I do. To start, after installation but before ECU flash, is it best to get a tow to the dealership? Or could I limp it with a 30 minute drive? It seems looking through countless threads that the TRD supercharger flash and HP collaboration with @JustDSM is my best bet. I have many more questions but I think this is a good place to start.

Either wire the bypass valve open or dont put a supercharger belt on it and drive it to the dealership. Shouldnt have any issues

It's okay. There are other, better built items out there with better support which will never give you issues. ;)

I drove it to the dealer ready to go, I just kept the revs low and stayed out of the pedal before it was flashed. No problems. :)

Im running an HPtuned ecu behind my UCon and its been nice. Id run HP alone but i gotta have some engine protection. I worry too much without having that as a safety net

I've never given the thought of UCONs "guardian" feature since I first found out about it. It's a cool feature to have, but it's not over $1500 worth of a cool feature for me. Lol. If you got it, hell yeah, use it you know?!

It literally saved me countless times early on.. Now i dont really need it per se, but it makes me feel better having it

Better to have it and not need it right

Would it be wise to have the dealer check the current ecu version? I've read that the TSB ecu flash ruins things. Since I bought pre owned, that would be an unfortunate surprise if I had it. Is there a way I can check the version on my own?

Some OBD2 scanners will report the Calibration ID. Just FYI

I'd definitely verify the Calibration ID to avoid that surprise!
