Nothing broken here but as stated above the interior scratches just by thinking about it.

Nothing broken but the truck feels cheap inside overall. So much rattling and buzzing from plastic trim and stuff all over. And I’m pretty sure the glue has come loose that holds the overhead map lights and MTS controls and the damn thing buzzes when going down the road - especially when it’s cold outside and I assume the glue comes separates easier when it contracts

They are using some cheap, soft plastic in the 3rd gen. I've scratched/abraided the plastic to the left of the windshield somehow. It irritates the hell out of my because it's so friggin soft and easily scratched. I think you could almost abrade the surface by rubbing it with your finger... Maybe a slight exaggeration. I've scratched the hell out of the interior door handle with my wedding band too.

Most cars are made the same way plastic and plastic crome. There is something to those old trucks with a metal dash and steel bumpers. Today's cars look real good but fragile.

Scratches show up on black. However, I am so deeply thankful the third Gen interior is not styled like that ^^^^

Don’t feel like your the only one. I fix used car interiors for a living in Texas. Without a doubt Toyota has cheapened their interior materials from tundra seats staining from just looking at them to all Toyota door panel plastic scratching at the drop of a hat. Ever since 2015 Toyota interiors have been crap. I just noticed my brand new 2019 tacos passenger tweeters rattles when not even running sound through it. Definitely some cutting concerns moving forward. Nonetheless I love my 3rd gen and all it’s quirks

That's probably saying a lot about the competition.

    And probably nothing good

Interior is pretty solid in mine. Like others have stated, some plastic scratches so easy, especially where the inner door handle is. Looks like racoons have been inside haha

Dropped the truck off at the dealership this afternoon, they'd never seen anything like my broken Qi pad. When the tech removed it, it was all broken to pieces underneath. Previous owner must have gotten mad or something? Cost of parts for them to replace: $750. Yikes. They're replacing my buzzing tweater as well. Good thing this is aaaaaaaaaaall under warranty ^^

All manufacturers use soft plastic so in a crash when your face smashes the dash there’s minimal damage (or less)

Everything has been good. The gauge face shield started to crack so I took it apart and put a new one on but I think it was cracking because the bolt holding everything together were over tightened... other than that no issues.

    Yikes is right!

WTF are these plastic parts made out of gold or something?
