Spare Tire Stolen!!! WTF!!!

My spare tire has just been stolen, I went with my girlfriend to the sports park to ride bicycle and the minute i got in the truck i notice the TPMS off checked the tired with the gauged and the pressure was good so i looked down and noticed no F...ing tire I'm very pissed...

Now the question is

I need to order a new spare, and what about the TMPS Sensor??? can i order one and reprogram it with the rest of the sensors without problems?....

 

From what I understand...Toyota can reprogram the TPMS sensors...so you should be able to replace it.

That sucks that someone lifted it...People have no respect for others...It's sad.

 

Sorry about your loss! I would not go to a dealer for a spare tire! $$$...Try going to a salvage yard that might have a wrecked truck with front end damage. I am sure they would sell you a spare for cheap! Good luck.

 

Thanks man, that gives me some relief i thought i had to replace all the sensors....

We where at this big park, I had the truck parked almost in front of a juice stand, it wouldn't take us more than 10-12 minutes to go around the park to be in front of the truck again, there are a lot of people there, "police taking rounds", its just fucking sad that you cant trust shit....it just makes my guts go nuts inside.....

 

yeah well, there are not much salvaged Tacomas around here, and the other thing is that i know i can get one for cheap, but i would only be buying from the same people that stole it from me....

kinda good news!

I was looking at my truck documents and i found a Toyota Protection Guide, It has a Program against external and internal parts Thievery, apparently holds a 60% off in external parts, im gonna check tomorrow at the stealership if the spare tire its within the program.

 

I'm looking at toyotapartsales.com i can buy the rim and the TMPS for $176.48 + tax+ shipping is it a good price?

 

Hate to hear that man. Been there. If you have comprehensive on your insurance it covers theft and vandalism amoung other things. I keep 0 deduct, don't cost much for the year. Used it a few times for deer collisions and didn't affect my rate at all. State Farm.

 

In Mexico few insurance co. have a parts program, because parts thievery is very common... but anyways im gonna check my insurance info see if i can find anything

 

That's not bad because the TPMS itself is expensive.

So where's a good spare tire lock for sale that will fit our trucks? I see Toyota has one but I'd prefer not to pay $30+ if I can.

With luck, when they install your tire on their truck it will blow causing the truck to go off the road and colliding with a tree.

 

Cant you put a lock on the lowering system of these spare tires? My old Taco I put a lock on the chain that lowered the spare. I have not lowered my spare to see what type of lowering system it is....for that matter I cannot even say my spare is still there, guess I will check tomorrow.

I just came back from the stealership, i went to quote the damn spare, sensor, and reprogramming....

first they don't hold the tires the truck is wearing, and there is no distributor for dunlop in the damn city!! WTF!

Sensor $1451.39 - $104 USD

reprogramming $690 - $51 USD

im gonna check on www.toyotapartsales.com for better prices if there are....
