Im just looking for a working easy to setup winch with a steel cable and warranty. Ive looked at the smittybilts and ive heard decent stuff about the badlands, but the cool thing to me is that the badlands has a wireless winch remote you can just toss in the center console!

Ended up making my own skid plate. V1 as you can see was poorly executed but made leftover from a sign at work and was used as a template to make v2. I would have gone thicker if I had a press brake, but it will do for now until I order the allpro aluminum one. But it works and clears the sway bar

Stock skid is going to protect more than that.

I agree with you on that, I saw where one other guy here trimmed his and made it tuck under the lower valence and fit. I’ll probably attempt that next weekend. But for the moment it covers the belt drive until I get the cash for the allpro one I want.

Also, I like how you trimmed your flares, how many inches did you take out?

    Who’s snorkel are you running?

In that pic I trimmed them about 2.25 inches or so. Snorkel is a hilux 167. However I got new fender flares and I only trimmed them about an inch

Hi-jacking the thread a bit. I just put the bumper on yesterday and it doesn't line up with the body properly? I can't figure out if it could've been something I did wrong somehow or if it's just a quality problem.

No your not crazy. Here it what you do. Take a jack and lift the front end of your truck up jacking only on the bumper. Get the front of the truck off the ground then loosen the bumper to valance bolts and the bumper to frame nuts. Once you have loosened all that junk, re tighten all of it back down and lower the truck. It should fix most of your alignment issues.

Thanks for this. I'll give it a go in a few days and come back with the results.

$400-500 seems the going rate for kits. Not sure my cheap flux core can tackle that job. And not a welder by trade in the least, just a bubblegum guy lol

3rd Gen Taco... Is there a cheap "slimline" bumper just to replace the stupid plastic part in the middle? SouthernStyle has a nice one but there has to be a cheaper option...
