And for those that believe oil replacement is not needed because its better, that's misunderstood. Oil is better, but contaminants still accumulate inside the engine at about the same rate as the old oil. It needs to be flushed out.
    The sooner the better

“Oil needs to be changed because it gets contaminated with combustion by-products that accumulate at about the same rate regardless of oil type”

Please note; “regardless of oil type”

Not so, you couldn't be more wrong. I despise them as much as the 10k change camp.
The only difference is I want the best chance for the engine to live happily ever after. And the OIL is its life blood

Well wouldnt the engine be happiest if you change it like every 1k? That way there will be always clean fresh oil, and it will last for at least 2 million miles.

technically maybe, but there's a point of diminishing returns were the oil changes cost more than a brand new engine, so there's that.

    You're onto something. I'm converting mine to a once-through total-loss oiling system.

We need to calculate when the oil changes will cost more than a brand new engine. That will be our magic number.

    We need math wizards here.

The bonus is that all the oil coming out where the oil pan used to be will extend the life of my frame until the heat death of the universe.

Canada also produces more oil than we consume, but we still import from Saudi Arabia, because that’s the deal. They buy lots of Canadian-made LAVs. We sell them billions in armoured personnel carriers, and we, in turn, buy billions in oil.

You should be the chief engineer at toyota.

Our engines will be sparkling inside and the frames will look brand new, just wow.

The math wizards will need to also factor in the expected inflation rate or replacement value. It just so happens I priced an identical new one to mine the other day and it was $4k more before TTL costs!

And I don’t even want a lot of the expensive troublesome tech, I chit my pants is what I did I tell you
