I’m super jealous of the naturalists and resources crews who get to roam around work and monitor wildlife. Fkn epic job. I can’t say I’m a birder but I love seeing rare and interesting species in my day to day. Here’s a couple shots of some BAEA’s (how’d I do?) who visited my office last year.

Right on. Yeah I truly love my job, but the side effect of moving up is less field work. Kids are expensive though.

Looks like that BAEA is about to take out a COME. Your north bay right? Any parks in particular you patrol? I recently spent some time out at Sugarloaf documenting some hours toward an endangered species permit for a special-status frog. Gorgeous site.

 

I’m all over north and west Marin. Stinson beach. Bolinas lagoon. Agate beach. Tomales bay. Petaluma rivermouth and all the bay wetlands in Marin. The eagles were at Stafford lake in Novato. It’s a great job but lots of keyboard jockeying now too.
