I figured if I was gonna pay for a new one, I was gonna get exactly what I wanted.

that may be a thing of the past

lift is half here, armor is in the works too but I really need a shell. My coolers don’t fit under my bed cover.

I learned that it's all about compromise.
And whatever is available in my price range.

My 2 basic requirements have been
    -color
    -carpet headliner

    Was in same boat.
I'm not convinced they are worth the hype.

I can reach in my side windows now.
-Too much sidewall to get over.
    -More so with the lift
-Not big enough to get large items out.
    :notsure:

Only thing close to windoors that seem worthwhile are the side panels on a GFC or select contractor style caps.

Don't take my word for it, I also don't have a backseat so easy access is something I have plenty of.

all very good points. I mainly wanted them since they were solid and prevent people from seeing in, a wrap could fix that though. I also wanted roof rails, but I think I’m prepared to let that go of that.

First shell was mid-rise and had giant windows.
Made curtains to cover then when necessary.
    Easy project, clean results.

Current shell had tinted windows that prevented prying eyes.
Couldn't see in but also couldn't see out.
    Peeled that crap off.
Window curtains are on the to-do list again.

I added rails to first shell.
    Loaded it down without issues.

Will never have shell without rails.
    Guess that means I have 3 must-haves the .
