Advan Racing comes from a Motorsport background, and pricing reflects what goes into the construction, not to mention the quality of their products. They're based out of Japan, and constructed over there, not made in China / Thailand. Advan is among the top notch wheel brands out there

If they think this is expensive wait till they price out some hre or forgelines. These aren't ur discount tire specials or xxr knockoff wheels. This is effectively top of the line wheels. #savethewheels @savethewheels

Advan wheels are one of the top of the line Japanese manufacturers of aftermarket wheels. These are flow form cast wheels, a special process Advan uses to make the wheel stronger and light as possible. They were able to get the wheel weight down to 21lbs. (We verified and weighed them here). Theyre also put through JWL and JWL-T testing to ensure these will not fail on you wether off or on road. Strength verified. (equivalent to food and drugs being FDA approved). Unlike a lot of wheel companies out there who just make any design wheel and cast, produce and sell, Advan racing has actually spent a lot of time research and developing this wheel to make sure its proper fitment for toyota trucks. All those incur costs that are included in the final production wheel you are buying.

Our other option is you show me a picture of a wheel you like, i email it to china, they make it the best they can and we can get sets of wheels all day long at 400 bucks a set. 29 lbs average weight, hard to balance, and who knows when it will fail (probably when you most need it)

I think the China wheels will live longer on the truck stuff as the generally have the tire sidewall to deal with the nvh, not like the stancebois on rubber bands. Altough that one China one, mht I think, have decent quality but they dont look pretty.

Wheel spacer/adaptor would be fastest method.

I actually had Forgelines and Fikse on previous F-bodies of mine. I understand the value of paying for a forged wheel.

Edit: Whoops, I meant to quote Lucario Runner!

I’m not trying to take anything away from these wheels as I think they look pretty damn sharp, just seemed a little expensive for flow formed. I’m sure they are very high quality.

And SCS F5's are the same weight in the size you are advertising, and 18lbs in a 16" size. They are also flow form cast, yet are half the price.

Uhhh that is a different size. Per scs website the same size wheel is 21lbs and 11oz.

and Volk 16" te37's are 16lbs a piece. Flow form cast is a process, yes. But, what origin of construction? Advan wheels are made in Japan, not China or Thailand. Nothing wrong with you deciding to have a SCS f5 on your rig. :)

Some of us just like to have a high quality product from a brand that has the background to prove it's design and construction.

The volk are lighter, that's essentially their selling point and why they command a higher price. The Advan rims are not significantly lighter than competitors and I've never heard of SCS rims failing(I don't have SCS rims, I'm just using them as a well know and fairly widely respected competitor) so the strength testing isn't a selling point. If they were 2 to 3 lbs lighter I could understand the difference in price, I just don't see a savings of 11oz being worth a 100% premium for a truck.
