No. It is an AR pistol. That is a brace not a stock.

I actually just handled one of those last weekend. Awesome how it folds in half. I can see why it would make a good truck piece. I like that it’s available in 9mm as well. I was in the market for a 9mm AR pistol but am now considering one of these. Need to research more on the quality and reliability though, Kel Tec handguns are absolute crap.

 

How much do you charge for transfers and where are you located? If competitive and within 40 min of me I’d be happy to give you business.

 

Downside vs an AR pistol would be that the Sub2K is legally a rifle and can't be kept loaded in your truck while the "pistol" can be. May not be an issue for some but it's something to consider.

 

Decent enough, I shoot one in practical carbine stuff and no failures yet. Quality is eeeh but you can definitely mcarbo it up.

FWIW. Oregon's is slightly different, so we're okay down here.

 

Technically, you can have unlocked, loaded firearms in your vehicle if you are doing or on your way to or from doing something 'outdoorsy'. Not sure how well you could make that argument at 8 on a weekday, but our vehicles definitely help the case.

Like I say, it may be an issue to consider for someone if they want to be able to keep it loaded. If you don't mind leaving the mag out then no big deal.

I believe the law https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=77.15.460 against carrying loaded rifles is intended to prevent truck hunting as most of the rest of the section is about shooting from or across roadways. And does not have anything mentioning that there is an exemption for this. Only real workaround this is to have a "rifle type pistol" like an AR-15 with a pistol brace.

All that being said these gun laws are written in such a way that they seem up for interpretation a lot of them time. At the end of the day I'd just hate to see someone get pinched for something stupid like driving around with a magazine in their rifle and get stuck paying a bunch of money trying to defend against it.

 

100% agree. I try my hardest to adhere to the laws but in the back of my mind, I know that most of the time as long as I'm not being and idiot or an asshole guys like us can skate with a stern warning. Ive never run up against any game wardens, but cops for the most part have bigger fish to fry and seem like decent folk. Around here anyway, the cops back in the south are much less so.

 

Pretty much. I mean a folded up sub2k stowed behind the rear seats isn't going to be construed as a hunting gun, or visible on a traffic stop, so if LE is going after that charge you've already met probable cause for a full search. And if you're going to be grabbing it, it's already going to be a multi step process (grab, unfold, charge) so adding in a 'insert mag' step isn't going to be a huge amount of additional time.
