I spoke with the hobby shop on Monday. Their alignment tool is out of service with no replacement insight. I was thinking of swapping lowers today their, but unsure how long that will take considering I need to pick up my daughter this afternoon.

I have zero recovery gear or OBA and really want to run Cedro Peak On Wednesday 11/28. I'm fairly new to hitting trails, but I ain't skeered. Doable? Would anyone want to join? Looking to head back around lunch time.

You will be fine if you take your time, choose good lines, and have good tires. It is rocky so you could kill a tire but 95% of cedro peak can be done in 2wd . There are a couple spots where you might drag if you choose a bad line but that would still be hard if you are lifted. I would go with you but I can't go on a Wednesday.

Thanks! I’m lifted 2.5” and 285 E load stt pros, clearance wasn’t much of a concern. I’m more worried about getting wedged or something :notsure:

I saw a video of a jeeper airing down and removing his stabilizer bar... and then a 20 year old dodge with no lift smash right through:rofl:I don’t know what to expect

You can leave your sway bar on because the trail doesn't have any flexy areas to worry about. It does get tight in some spots but nothing where a tacoma couldn't fit. There are some rock steps that you can play on but its a side obstacle and you should probably avoid it. Otherwise you can take your time and run the whole trail in a couple of hours.

No need to air down, or remove sway bar. A stock 4x4 with street tires can do most all sections less the side rock steps.

thanks Boostedka! I didn’t have patience and took it to firestone last Sunday (Juan Tabo), they are incompetent and claimed my tie rods are stuck and for some reason their nut buster ain’t heating up. Waited almost 2 hrs and they gave up, left firestone and my steering wheel is 3deg off to the right and pulls right while braking. I took it back, asked for the before and after print out- NOTHING-told them to put it back to where it was and I’ll take it somewhere else. ABQ TIRES did it in 1 hr and charged me $79 with military discount. Awesome shop, I’ll go back once I get a better UCA to meet the caster I wanted within specs since I maxed out due to my 2.75” front lift.

That's great to hear they worked out well for you. I've also read other horror stories of dude taking their trucks to Firestone. They seem so tempting with their lifetime alignment, but the reason they do that is so they can sell you new steering components every time you go it. They did they same thing to a good friend of mine last winter after we put new suspension on his Tundra.
