All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

What's some good camping gear that I could get for my TWSS? I've got some ideas but some other heads wouldn't hurt

IDK, The Sling-Pot! But if that doesn’t float your boat. I vote a rechargeable headlamp.
If that interests you Search Petzel Tikka or Taktikka.

I got a couple of these for Camp. They are nice and cheap. Can also recharge your phone.

Lastly those badass Luci String Lights. I think those jammers are the best.

Tom Woods guarantees their driveshaft. If that doesn't fix the problem, you can return it for a full refund....or sell it to me for pennies on the dollar :D

Man, this just sucks. I have had so many Toyota’s over the years that I know what your saying.
I currently am spending lots of time and money on making my 3rd what I think it should have been from the factory.

Correct...do not get a new tundra. They are far behind the competition in every category and resale is already dropping like it was a range rover. I'm currently stuck with my bad decision of choosing an '18 crewmax when i was in a bind for a new vehicle. To top it off, last i looked, the dumb thing is getting 12mpg city and I drive it pretty eco consciously since I hate low mpg.

Pretty much sums it up. I love Toyota, but am blown away by how much the "undeniable reliability" has outweighed the need for "current tech" in all aspects. I thought they were going to release the twin turbo v6 for 2020, but it's now looking like 2021 at the earliest. I don't really want to be the guinea pig on a new generation either.

Similar to the Tundra is the Sequoia. We wanted a Sequoia for my wife when we had our 3rd baby. Well, we really wanted a Land Cruiser, but were seriously considering a Sequoia because of the price (not that they are cheap or anything). We were close to pulling the trigger but dealerships weren't willing to move on the price much. Even on 2018 models that were still on the new lot in August of 2019, they wouldn't budge on the price. Then Ford did a 20% off deal and we bought an Expedition. The EcoBoost v6 has been out for several years and my grandparents both drive Fords with the EcoBoost (F150 and Expedition) and love them enough to buy them again. Knowing my grandparents, that speaks volumes. The gas mileage, tech, reliability, etc. along with the price made it an easy decision.

At this point, my next truck is likely to be an F150.

    Heresy...

But so true. I plan on doing the same thing. A few friends and family members have Raptors and I have been nothing but impressed with them in all aspects. :anonymous:

The ecoboost has sooooo much potential... There is a video floating around of a virtually stock f150 with the ecoboost making around 500whp, with just CAI, down pipe, 91 octane and a tune....NUTS!

In case any of y'all aren't checking the "weekly outdoors" thread, we're working on plans to hit Hurricane Creek on Saturday. So far, 2 confirmed and 2 more interested.

Raptor is too much for me. I'm looking at the Lariat trim with the 502A, FX4 and max trailer tow packages. I go in and out of wanting it. I do, but I don't want to get rid of the Tacoma...nor can I afford both. My Tacoma is paid for, so there is no cheaper option.

That’s the beauty of FI. I didn’t buy the Tacoma for making that type of power or for power in general but man I sure do enjoy it when getting in those high output engines. What’s really impressed me is their MPG when you aren’t getting on it. Hard to believe a truck with those types of numbers get in the high teens.

I saw a sweet I believe king ranch and it had me second guessing my ram for a mintue

After having my new ram, driving a couple trips with it with my dad in the back seat and talking how roomy and comfy it is. I will never be able to go back to a mid size for my only truck, granted I do have my 1st gen still.

Built ford tough? More like built Toyota tough. Both myself and the other driver were okay, and after the tow truck pulled me down I was able to finish my drive to work in my Tacoma.

I've debated getting an older LC. People still want pretty good money for them and the gas mileage still sucks, BUT it would have room for the whole family and still serve as an adventure rig.

For all the reasons @GreeGunc said, the full size is very appealing. Not to mention the 3.5L ecoboost is rated to tow 13k+ lbs. We get north of 20 mpg hwy in the expedition. I assume the F150 would be similar.

    To @r0bn8or 's point, I drove home:
    H6sp4Ab3fVSBvULDNh1RSOTJUm-yAl4XM4RID20r_4f601cae363c9380b84db229d115bd0f0a2385f6.jpg

    The Dodge did not.

The guy admitted to his insurance that he tried to step on the brake and accidentally stomped on the gas. I'm guessing he was doing 30 or more when he hit me at a dead stop.

My grandfather has a 2014 Limited f150. That ecoboost is awesome. It has so much torque and I've pulled several of my broken jeeps with it. You hardly notice 7000 lbs back there and it'll still climb hills at 3000 rpms with that load.

That's crazy. The girl that hit me got a ticket for following too close. Even the cop was impressed at what we managed to do.
