@CS_AR have you experimented much with your yellow optical fiber cable yet?
i am curious on what resolution (pics/video) you can get with that in the hard to access low light areas in the internal frame

 

I just tried it by looking at stuff in my office. It seems to work 100 times better than my old borescope. There are some additional instructions to make it work that I have at home. I'll post about it in the tools and workshop thread with the supplemental instruction.

 

thanks, i am still looking for the proper tool to use that isn't going to cost several hundred dollars or more to get a good hi-res scoping of my truck
so i can make the decision to continue with the modification or give up & send it to the crusher

Dayum. You ever heard of a customer, at any service dept not only yours, paying out of pocket for a frame swap? Looks like about 16k given or take? Don't think I've heard of someone paying for it without Toyota covering it

 

i considered it in 2o11 if the shit hit the fan and very recently on inquires to save my taco
got a collision body shop quote to frame swap for about $8500 iirc this year including new frame price
