It was so satisfying to be able to go Utopia and give the bird to both of them.

    not enough.
I want utopia...or google fiber. but alas, my new construction doesn't have centurylink available. xfinity is available but i have to pay installation fees and shit. :/ I'm patiently waiting for a better ISP while I use a local wireless provider. ‍♂️

I had Utopia with xmission as the ISP and it was simply the best service ever. I now have 1gig CenturyLink fiber and the jury is still out. So far it's been ok, but I haven't started my servers back up. We'll see what happens after that. A long time ago I had comcast cable and I dropped it like the stinking pile of dog crap when Utopia came on line.

You guys are great, thanks for all the insight! Fiber is my #1 of course but i guess we'll see what is all available when I get the chance to start calling around. Should be closing on the home early December and moving in the weekend before Christmas. Not ideal but we go when Uncle Sam says to go.

I feel for you. I had a ‘99 Expedition stolen. I was a big listener of the local sports radio station in those days, so I called into the morning show and told them my story. They announced it over the air.

Later in the day I got a call from the Sherif asking me if the truck they found was mine. I said yes. They said come pick it up or we’ll have it towed.

When I went to pick it up, the Sheriff told me he heard my story on the radio. He happened to be driving around some neighborhoods and saw a truck that matched the description and plates and bam! My truck was recovered.

Hope it all works out for you. I hate thieves.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. Supposedly Utah has a 88% stolen vehicle recovery rate. We'll see. I'm not sure what the ideal outcome is at this point, Tepui is definitely gone and most likely the Stealth 6's. TBH I'm almost hoping its not found and they just pay out the insurance money. Who knows what they've done to that truck by now, but I watched the truck drive away and that fucker had no clue how to drive a manual.

Tepui kuk 3, @turbodb fabbed bed rack, and 16x8 matte gunmetal Stealth 6's.

What's the plate #? Slim chance but still. Maybe a pic to go with it?

Lemme guess, warming up the truck in the driveway? Also, do you have a detective assigned to your case? If it's in Midvale, I bet I know who will get the jacket.

I can scope the parking lots of all the seedy motels in Midvale off Ft Union and State at lunch. Half decent chance of finding it there.

I walked up on someone in the process of ransacking my Cruiser, literally two weeks after we got it. I jumped in front of their car, and they would have ran me over to get out of there. Scummy feeling, standing there watching them drive off. But that was just a busted window, wrecked dash, cd player, speakers, amps, and my fly rod. I can't imagine if it was the whole truck.. Sorry man, I'll keep on the lookout in Rosa Parque.

We have extra parking behind our house, its kind of town-housey but the homes aren't connected. Anyway, I parked there because my two roommates were parked in the driveway. Next day going to work in the AM, head out to the truck - start it and begin to drive away, realized I had forgotten my work laptop on my kitchen counter, so I parked it infront of my driveway. Run in, up the stairs and I hear a squeal... Instantly knew the sound. I ran over to the window and saw my truck driving down the street. I was out of it for maybe 20 seconds, which means someone had to have been watching me... plotting a break in or something of the like.

I need to contact the police again, aside from reporting it stolen initially I haven't received any other calls from them. I attempted to contact them yesterday and was sent to fucking voicemail.

Here's the plate, though by this time I'd be shocked if its still on there.

    Damn! That’s painful.

I was told by the detective that the majority of the vehicles are stolen b/c they leave them running while not in the car (mostly to run into the gas & sip in the middle of winter).

Long story short, mine was stolen out of the garage early in the morning. My wife left her purse in her car with my spare key. The detective suggested l leave that part out when talking to the insurance company. He said the insurance company might take issue with that.

I also saw mine drive off. I just didn’t realize it was mine :(

The detective asked how much gas was in the tank and added that the majority of the vehicles head south of the border.

Have you talked to the insurance company?

I'm just so fucking pissed at myself because I'm usually super diligent about that stuff. I NEVER leave it unattended..... the one time I do, less than 30 seconds. Just blows me away.:frusty:
