I feel you on that. I'm on my 4th set of seats (can't ever just settle). Now I have Recaro recliners and adapted Sparco sliders on one side and universal on the other. Both are on Planted brackets. Easier to sell previous seats without hardware I guess.

There was a difference in quality between my Sparco and universal rails though. Sparco is stamped steel and very solid track, whereas universal rails were bent steel and there's slight rocking/ play when not in the middle position of the track. Not that I feel it's unsafe but bumpy roads exhibit a shaky seat. Just something to note if you have cheapy universals like mine.

I ordered the one that they labeled specifically for the turd gen taco

hopefully they are at minimum a decent base to start from

can always add metal to them later (though I am not a welder... yet? )

I actually didn’t plan on replacing the seat I had
But PRP wouldn’t make anymore to match it as my color pattern is no longer an option nor are the customizable options I picked that they used to have.

so instead I opted for 4 new seats

and I needed them with enough time to fit the front two in the cab before it goes to cage. wanted to make sure the seat was exactly how I wanted it and I really wanted to keep the slider

Actual question if the front is to soft would it be smarter to re valve the coilovers a little stiffer or just heavier springs(for the front of the truck)it does have bypasses.

Start with valving and tuning. That will make a much bigger difference than spring rate. That is unless your spring rate is wayyy off.

Yeah if you've got 500 / 600 it shouldn't be much more than that.

Have you notated your bypass tube settings? Maybe play with some of those if they aren’t closed off.

Definitely start with valving. You may need more spring rate though, where is your secondary at on your coilover? If you have a 600/500 rate you currently have an initial spring rate of: ~272lbs, until your dual rate stop kicks in.

On the bigger (wider) front ends that do not have a lift spindle (4wd, you have the solo xlt kit right?) they generally require more spring rate to keep ride height and maintain proper bottoming resistance. The last front end I helped with (i'm not an expert just sharing my experience) needed a single rate 700lb spring to get it to work correctly... That was a race application, so take that with a grain of salt. Just trying to show that 272lbs to 700lbs is a big difference.

Hey man, wanted to say thanks for all the helpful info you gave me earlier. I did some digging and found the 5 lug that dirty B fabwerx did. Their prices for kits don't seem too bad either online, but I can't find price for the 5 lug kit online. Guess I'll call down one day to see ballpark prices.

Appreciate the info. Definitely trying to learn things as I go. I'm at the point I need to learn shocks haha. Here are some pictures on how the front is for more insight. Yes 4wd solo XLT KIT.
