Just FYI Sheeps Wallow is just a bunch of Georgia clay and ruts. With the recent rain I'd stay away from that one

It's privately owned land now too and you can't ride trucks there anymore. Iron Mountain is the new land owner. https://ironmountainresort.com/

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Got my kayak stuff from NRS and I'm back in town, so maybe I'll get time to try and mod it up at some point to get back on the water.

Need to build foot padding as well as thigh/knee braces that are smaller than what's in there.

Yep, pretty sure what's in there now is molded plastic so that's why I got the foam to replace it.

You will need to make a Bulk Head, Two hip braces, maybe a little padding under the thigh braces, and then you should be good to go.
So this is one hint/tip that no one tells beginner boaters. NEVER...tuck your pull strap in under the skirt. ALWAYS put you hands on it before you put in.

I say this because I am a seasoned boater, my bro in law is a pro kayaker, and some of the worse shit I have seen happen was when the Pull Strap gets accidentally tucked under the skirt.
I have saved a life because of this, and A close boater friend of mine almost bit it that way.

This makes it about impossible to blow the seal if you need to eject.

A guy mentions buying Stern Floats, basically a dry bag in the shape of your stern that you inflate, to keep water filling your boat should you come out.

This is a must, don’t be that guy that loses his boat or takes up an entire afternoon trying to rescue the boat.

There are at least two in there, I'm going to pull them out and make sure they are good to go and clean them up.

Rain doesn't scare me. I'm game to go Saturday still. If you prefer, we can wait til Sunday.

Fair warning though, I don't have a winch and my snatch strap was used in an unapproved manner (pulling out plants from the yard), so I wouldn't trust it for much of any kind of recovery. It's more of a tow strap now.

Sure, let's do it. It's supposed to be warming up when it rains, so I'm in. I have a lot of recovery gear so we'll be fine. Where/when do you want to meet up? We doing Hurricane Creek?

Anyone else want in? It'll be fun even if it's muddy!
