How’s the Clearance? I don’t have my lift and tire put on yet.

I don't remember, do you have a 3rd gen or 2nd gen? 4x4 and stock OR tires on a 3rd gen would be pushing it in the rain, but the stock OR tires are close enough to ATs that you could probably do it. Not sure what factory tires the 2nd gen comes with. Anyways, rain makes it all questionable on non-AT or non-MT tires. I took a factory height Honda Element to places that embarrassed the Jeeps I was with when I had it on ATs. Tires and a good line make a huge difference.

Here's the trail we suggested earlier, I think that's still the plan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_1XTSu1P6s - skip to 1:20, there's like a minute of intro before the trail. That's the 2nd worse section of Hurricane Creek from what I've seen. There's a creek crossing with an incline that is a bit worse than that in another video, I can't find it though. I haven't been there before so it'll be new to me too. Anyone else have any input that's been there?

I have a winch and straps, so we can get you unstuck... My concern would be if the red clay would be too slick the whole way through from the rain. We could drag you the whole way through, but I don't think anyone would have fun with that.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Looks like the driveway to my mtn house!

I've heard that it is totally doable stock. I invited someone from work who drives a stock TRD Pro. He was non-commital, but sounded interested.

Saturday, time TBD still. I'm free all day. I'd like to meet somewhere around 9-10ish. Late lunch on trail or somewhere fun, then home for dinner.

I had a nice 3rd gen but a dump truck took care of that. I bought a 2nd gen a few months ago and have been slowly putting it together. I have the wheels and tires from the 3rd gen in storage. Hope to get the lift soon. The tires I have now are slick as hell, but I have some recovery stuff. I’m def going out this weekend, just not sure where yet. Send me a meet location and I might head out Friday afternoon.

Are y'all wanting to meet somewhere in GA and caravan up there, or meet near the start of the trail?

There is a rest stop sort of near the trailhead: https://goo.gl/maps/xmchha1EYw6tcNFo9

I'm a little over 2.5 hours from the rest stop. I could leave home at ~8:30 and be there by 11.

Also, getting out next weekend, options are AOP, Windrock, or Coppinger Cove at the moment. Should have 2 buddies joining so far, anyone else interested?

Currently waiting on the in-laws to announce if we are doing Thanksgiving Saturday or not. If not, I’ll be joining.

Man I wish! I'm down in SC this weekend for family stuff. I was hoping y'all were going to do it last weekend. I attached my GPX file if you want a virtual/digital guide :)

The worst part by far is the rutted clay section. It's fairly short, but last time I was there they were deep in one spot. You'll probably rub something, but just send it and you'll be fine! :) The rain will just lubricate that clay right up and you'll slip an slide right through.

I’m not to worried about it, if anything it will make some good recovery practice.

    Ok, so we've got 3. Myself, @Sprocket1505 and @synaps3 .

Unless someone has a better spot or a more preferred location, I'm going to say 11:00am at the rest stop mentioned previously.

Holy crap, that's 3.5 hours away for me. Even Nemo Tunnel's closer. I didn't realize it was that big of a drive.

Any thoughts on something closer? I'm still in, but closer is easier!

Nemo is something like 5 hours from me. I just updated the calendar to show Hurricane Creek, but can update it again if we change the destination.

I'm guessing Chestnut Mountain and Musterground Rd are probably even further for you?
