    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
    replaceing the timing belt, been told its a non interfering engine so unless I take a road trip gona run it till it snaps.

    Do you guys loose any sleep over worrying if its going to fail? Here's some comfort, usually the water pump starts leaking before the the rubber band breaks. :eek:

    Have you have to add coolant lately?

    Ive seen one pretty badly cracked off a Tundra w/ 3.4 (~95k), but it was an older one (01 or 02)

    Do you realize that when timing belt snaps, the camshafts will STOP moving while the pistons still move up & down?? Snapping of timing belt can and most likely WILL result in bent valves in the best case scenario...

    Timing belt should be changed around the 100k mile mark...

    the 5vzfe (3.4) is a non interference engine. no damage is done to the engine if the belt snaps, but you wont be goin anywhere for awhile.


    if you plan on running it til it snaps, my advice: grab a snickers, put it in the glove box

    Must be due to low compression of the motor. I am not too familiar with the Toyota engines yet.

    I look like an idiot, should have read the first post to the end, not just the title...LOL
