Pedal commander doesnt do shit to the throttle pedal mapping, it only simulates you pushing the throttle pedal down further than you actually are.... if op had his foot burried the PC would of made ZERO difference.

Being a new truck its very possible OP's trans is low on fluid like they tend to come from the factory. Might be worth a check.

Same thing has happened to me, go to pull out and have to get on the gas aggressively to keep up with traffic and I’m literally 75% throttle and NOTHING... few seconds later the truck is screaming it’s head off toward redline

The 3.5L produces torque too. And I use it daily when I drive my truck.

I always have to chuckle a little bit whenever I hear someone with the 4.0L talk about how much more torque they have...

Yeah, okay. Why don't you prove it doesn't work or STFU?

4.slow used twice the gas to produce 10% more torque. No thanks!

Its a known fact that pedal commander only simulates pressing the throttle more..... it goes inline between the gas pedal and ecu.... the ecu knows no different and throttle pedal mapping tables are NOT changed....

Much experience with this in the 2nd gen world with HPTuner's on my truck.

I don't drive like a jackass and the truck is fine. When I try to drive it hard the trans does take a brief moment to downshift, but it's not 3 seconds.

Nope. Ever seen the signal output of the factory pedal compared to using a pedal commander? They are different, with the factory being non-linear and the pedal commander correcting it with each pre-set and level. Try hooking it up to an o-scope and get back to me.

As currently designed, in my opinion, you must use ECT for tricky situations. It’s been like that since the launch in late 2015.

I tried a U turn once with my 2017 and it felt like the truck turned off. I never did that again. I learn from my mistakes. Pretty much always drove in ECT around town after that learning event.

I’m curious if this shit is fixed in the 2020. My guess is that it can still happen.
