I think this is better suited to @Travish325 kind of daily meal prep

I’ve been thinking about grabbing a 20L soft cooler or the backpack cooler for a big lunch bag/weekend beach bag.

I have the soft cooler 20 and the day cooler 8. They are both bigger than you’d think. Use the bigger one for tailgating at college football games and the other as a lunch box but it’s oversized for a normal person’s lunch :D

I use a lot of glass Pyrex containers for my stuff so it fills up space quick, and I’d love to keep my 64 oz water bottle in the cooler also.. I work as a field technician so I’m basically operating out of a work truck all day, no refrigerator to keep stuff in.

Also I’m trying to justify things. :anonymous:

Theyve got a great sale on now. They get good reviews.
Friday I’ll have a good idea of how well it works since I work both jobs and need foid to stay cold for 14 hours.

This thing is plenty big for travel. You could keep a 64oz water bottle in here for sure

Eh. Last year I was doing 405 for triples at a deficit. Still trying to slowly work my way back.

I have a gallon of water I take everywhere with me. I usually pour it out into my (not yeti) cup which has ice but the gallon is insulated and I refrigerate it overnight so it usually stays cold throughout the day. Its made by Gallon Gear if you want to check them out. I bought it at The Arnold in Feb.

I use an 64 RTIC jug. Maybe it’s meant as a growler.

Sometimes I’ll freeze a big water bottle like 1.5-1.75 liter? Not sure.

My lunch is pathetic... but its grocery day and I’m out of eggs. Dinner is gonna have to be 2200 cals :bananadead:

Anyways things seem to fit well. Plenty of room:

I kind of kick myself for not getting the growler.
Especially because this 20oz tumbler sucks. I don’t like the locking lid, the lid takes ninja warrior strength to fucking open, and because the lid actually closes the pressure of a hot beverage makes the lid pop off. I’m glad I asked for a new Yeti for Christmas.

I travel with beer a lot because I take microbrews to family. The insulated growler seems perfect for that.

About the kids and eating convo: I have two, 9 and 12yo's. We've given them balanced meals and veggies from the start and it hasn't been much of a fight or problem. They've since "seen how other kids eat" and obviously know candies and such. Their diet isn't ultra strict or perfect, but I insist always on keeping the sugar intake low to very low (max one sweet thing per day, I try for less.).

Most meals are well balanced and complete, with veggies, etc. When they don't like a food or veggie, I usually insist on them taking one bite and then they can swap it for a different food or veg. The constant tasting should get them used to that flavor in time. It's a great strategy.

It can still be a struggle. THe 9yo has a terrible sweet tooth and will try all kinds of things to stay on sweets all day (sweet cereal for breakfast, apples only for snack, then on to sweets, etc.). I work with her and always make sure I'm moving it back to balance, not too sweet, etc. I've had some difficulty with the wife not helping in some points, introducing them to certain junk foods which they took to, etc., but nothing major.

On the big things and overall it works out and they have a mostly very healthy diet, and above all, a very good idea of and palate for what is and isn't healthy.

    OHP
    Incline DB press
    Seated DB press
    Upright rows
    Close grip bench
    Reverse pec deck

Hmm... Imma have to disagree with you on some of those. Though some I agree have some definite cons, such as some of the DB bench exercises and upright rows.

Why do you say OHP and close grip bench are bad?
