I wouldn't buy a 1st year 3rd gen with almost 80k miles.....my 2011 has 85k...first gen of new trucks always have particular issues....

does it have a rear E-locker actuator on the rear axle? quick way to find out if TRD-OR or TRD-Sport, big difference in value to a lot of people

Pretty positive it’s an off-road based on the interior photo plus it states it is I think it’s priced fair for an off road model but want others to chime in. I think the 3rd gens have been alright for the most part

just make sure it has a rear E-locker actuator on the axle to know its a true TRD-Offroad

Seen people change stickers etc even though this has none on bedsides...do your research on the vin & under the truck visual research....

You don’t need much shrinkage for the bearing to go in easier. And the effect won’t last long either. But it does help.

Actuator is on the inside of the diff on the third gen. Bigger r&p too 8.75

Easy way to tell if it’s an off road is to put it in 4x4 and turn the crawl control on and if the truck starts bucking like it’s possessed then it’s an TRDOR

Is there a police report? Who did they assign blame to?

What does that mean? You'd know if there was a report - the cops would be there, asking you questions, taking pictures, getting measurements etc. If there was a report they'd assign fault immediately and most likely issue a citation to the at fault driver unless it was a super fucked up crash and required tons more investigation. Yours sounds pretty run of the mill.

Indeed. Police reports are no guarantee. I got screwed from a police report when an old man driving down the middle of the road hit me when I was stationary and over to the right as far as I could go. I couldn't do anything but watch him run in to me.

Cop said we were both at fault. o_O

He took her statement. He questioned her a bit. Asked me what happened. Told him she pulled out while she was at a stop and i could not stop in time. Caught the corner of her driver side. Gave me my stuff and said have a good night. I haven't received the report yet. No citations issued that evening

Thats fucked up! Probably both insurance companies saying fuck it. Did your rates spike?

Is true... check out some youtube vids on dirtbike engine rebuilds. You should see bearing in the freezer and case is either in the oven or getting heated with heat gun/torch.
