I think thats going to be the struggle not when the kids are with me but as they age being around others.
I really prefer my kids not have soda until they are 35 but the reality is kids will have it at some point. This is just reality.

    Balance.

They are bad the same reasons deadlifts and carbs are bad for you. I’m not a doctor though. I’m just some pencil neck with some chest striations on the internet so don’t mind me.

Yeah, even if they are exposed to all the good junk and eat some, as long as the balance has been good and they've been exposed to a healthy diet, preferably gotten used to it as they grow up, it's the best you can do and it's a great start for them. As parents we can't make them live a certain way, only show them and teach, explain, etc., then hope for the best.

Thursday is the new flex Friday...
    65AF9BD2-F477-41BC-9FB1-95DA73F3AB74.jpg

Just spent about 2 hours at an LA Fitness in Orlando. My wife is at a conference for half the day and then we are headed to Epcot the rest of the day. Tuesday we were at Magic Kingdom all day and yesterday at Hollywood Studios. This was my first workout since Saturday. The gym was awful but they had a free 5 day pass so I only had to pay for the Lyft to get there so I can’t complain that much. But I will anyway. The free weight benches were glued to the floor, they only had 2 racks and they were both being used by DYELs, and no one in the place knew how to rerack weights...

Benched and did shoulders today. Going back tomorrow to do deadlifts and back before we finish our week off at Animal Kingdom.

It’s been nice to throw my nutrition out the window for a few days but I haven’t eaten that much MORE food than I normally wood, just much worse food than I normally do. Which I can feel more than I can see :cookiemonster:

    be well :)

When you compete there is most definitely an offseason. The body can only take so much of what we put it through lmao.

Leg day today. Any of y’all got a workout that will have the legs like jello at the end of the day?

I know I almost tossed in the smiley. I'm at the end of a two week completely off besides cardio. Next Monday I will start my offseason routine and hopefully add about 25 pounds before February.

Squats 25 sets 25 reps pic a weight and stick with it as long as you can. So if you start with 225 and you hit a set you can't finish but at least get 20 then drop to 180 for the remainder. This will test the limits of your vagina and you will find out how moist it really is. Well it does for me every time I do it anyway.

If you want wobbly legs without actually working them out, try a hammer to the knee.

I do legs twice a week in season and this is one of the days lol. It will break you and it's a lesson in brutality. The goal is to find a weight you can do for the full 25x25 and barely finish. So if it's 175 this week then next week move to 180 then 185. Your legs will have no choice but to grow... or tap out and fall off.

still plugging along with my stronglifts5x5. its def getting harder, but i still like the way I feel after even if its difficult or I couldn't get the 5 reps but did less. I am really enjoying the feeling of accomplishment when I leave the gym after my workout, because yeah, I did it. Going to keep 5x5 going because its got me in a routine for over a month now, but I will soon start looking for other lifts to change it up. any other apps you guys recommend? preferably the free variety please.

@PackCon you and I are on the same wavelength about tattoos. I like to see them on other people, but I have never been able to make a decision about what I want to put on my body. The one thing I did decide it to go with white ink, at least on my first one (if i ever get one). They look awesome and are more camouflaged. I have a friend with one and i was like, whoa thats a tattoo, idk. I wouldnt get it to show everyone else, it would be for me.

Sounds like the whole “Go until failure” concept. I have heard a couple friends tell me that’s the way to go....even though it will totally kick your butt.
