Stereo delete channels

2016 TRD sport 4x4 stock stereo

Have gone through the manual and searched posts here but cannot find how to delete or remove stations in your stock stereo memory.

I've held the channel down, been through options.

Want to clear out some that I don't like.

So far I have to placed a default one I like in those slots.

Suggestions please.

I've got a phone contact I want removed and can't figure it out.The contact in the lower is too close to the volume knob, and I accidentally call my brother when I attempt to turn by volume up or down. Yes, I know I can use the steering wheel controls.

 

You can't delete. Only save over them as far as I know.

Or just remove the ground terminal on the battery for what it takes to drink a cerveza..then replace. All erased...start anew.

 

I found this in the manual before posting here but did not see the refresh, so does the refresh clear the memory slot?

Thought the radio and system had battery back up for NVRAM stuff but I could be wrong. May try remove the neg term this weekend and see what happens.

 

This fuse would do same as battery loss...but.maybe gremlins later...

Removing the neg does not erase memory in my truck

 

Removing this fuse does not clear the programmed stations. It only resets the clock.

Any other suggestions? Just want to clear the presets out and start fresh.

 

Overwrite them..one at a time...

 

I put the same station in each but wanted to reset back to add station if I could.

 

I know this wasn't the initial issue OP was looking for, but I thought they may be related. Anyway, a semi fix to my contacts issue; I got a new phone and contacts short cuts are no longer there, so I'm thinking it's phone based. Just following up, since I asked.

 

As with most newer systems there is a internal battery in the radio in case you have a dead battery or need to replace as a convenience.

There must be some keystrokes to hold down upon power up that clear it and reset all data. We keep looking.
