What's suspect to me is all the coughing OP is doing. Sounds like he knew he was getting into a sideways deal and was trying to do some shady business with a colleague.
Just spitballing here, but it seems like OP isn't telling us the true story.

Motive on the seller’s end seems clear. 1.). Finance a desireable vehicle, likely with no money down.
2.) Sell said desireable vehicle, receive a legitimate check or, in this case, cold hard cash.
3.) Go literally fucking anywhere you want with 35 g’s in your pocket. Maybe out of the country where you can’t be tracked? Homie is probably living his best life surfing or fishing in Costa Rica by now.

OP paid $35K for a used truck from a homeless guy on the street?

    Welp. That was smart.

Doesnt look like stolen property. The vehicle was sold to him by the owner. Anyone can sell a vehicle with a lien on it. What happens now is the original owner probably violated contract. OP is stuck storing the vehicle as noone will pick up the vehicle, not the original owner or the bank. OP is stuck with it, as I am sure if he does something like abandonment of the vehicle at say a parking lot of the financial company, OP will be held liable for damages, if something were to occur.

Anyone can’t just sell a vehicle with a lien on it though. The original owner didn’t own the truck, the bank did/does, the bank must be paid to release the title. The original owner essentially stole the truck from the bank and sold the stolen property to the OP who was dumb enough to fall for it. The bank still owns the truck.

The bank doesn't own shit. The buyer owns it, the bank lended money and holds a lien on the title as a promissory note of repayment. If the bank cannot recover the collateral, they can still recover their money in many other ways after they get judgment in court.

And did anyone else pre-order their Tesla truck tonight? I ordered the full boat and pre-ordered the self driving option as well. Only a two-four year wait. :D

My bank will give you $35K for it and you can take out a storage lien while stored at my place.

    So.

There are no real answers to legit questions asked, ie, no additional info offered.

No updates on results of the situation.

Yet 4 days after starting this thread, OP is off posting re TechStream and OVTune stuff, which would appear to apply to this mystery truck. https://www.tacomaworld.com/search/9515341/

So whats the deal @Chance03, is your ownership to the truck all squared up now, or are you modding a hot piece still parked in the garage?
